Thanks @JEB for the reply, after I updated my IPC, I did not run the configuration tool, should I have or only if I have enco7ntered issues after the update? I have not noticed any problems and it has been about 2 weeks since I updated it via the CANBUS. Thanks again!
No need unless you have a problem. The last-known configuration will reload automatically when you update the module—or at least it’s supposed to. If it works, don’t fix it.

But check for DTCs. If you have U2100, use the PMI function. If it doesn’t work after a few tries, then you might have to reload the as-built data to complete the configuration.

No, not if used properly. Make sure you run the first three diagnostics under the Support tab of the J2534 Toolbox. This is important. The Mongoose must be plugged into the truck with the ignition on, engine off when running the diagnostics. If all checks out, you can then immediately proceed to FDRS.
There's 4 tests total and the doc will show the fourth one.

Update to report.
Ran IPC PMI with mongoose and it’s now fixed. This is after many tries with the nano.
Proceeded to run network test and this is the result.
Any updates I shouldn’t do or need to be extra careful with. IPMA makes me nervous now.

Most of these relate to BC prep, which I don’t have so I have no experience. I wouldn’t worry about proceeding with the IPMA. It’s big and slow to update. So, make sure you have a good battery charger/maintainer to maintain voltage during what could be a 6-hour update. But the Mongoose is really stable. You should be fine.

I shall be the Guinea pig. I started and it forces update of all those modules at once. So… off I go. Will report back as soon as I fry my truck.

Excellent. You’ve come quite a long way since immediately before your trip to the dealer. Now you’re on the bleeding edge.

I’d be particularly interested to know how long the IPMA takes. The Nano was excruciatingly slow. Hopefully, the Mongoose is faster.

I have my Mongoose ordered, it will be here Monday. Should I wait until it comes in, or would it be safe to do this much updating with the Nano? I have 7 days left on my FDRS license as well.

Minute by minute…
Cruise control module, done.
Power steering control module, done.
Driver status monitor camera module, step 2000 of 16430… literally. This will be a while. It picks whichever update it wants and just keeps going.

You can safely do these with the Nano, just DO NOT perform Network Scan in FDRS. Follow steps documented here and you will be fine!

Sounds good, I'll probably kick it off after lunch then. I know I have done a network scan in the past with the Nano. If I understand it correctly I can correct that once the Mongoose comes in, right?

@jmm3807 I see in your most recent pic you have FDRS showing 13.4V. Is that from running of the recommended charger? Whenever I have mine plugged in I hover right at 12.6 to 12.7. Just curious how you got the higher volts that's all.
