So someone hit accept in my truck. I can now see where my truck is. I am going to assume this means I have all my chips now.

Just curious -- did you get a notification on your phone when it was accepted? Just wondering if I need to bother opening the act to see if I'm still in pending status twice a day.

When I saw where it was I had a little worry. It is clearly in a holding lot. Oh well I can pretend it is almost ready. I asked for an updated visibility report from the dealer.

No notification. I am a glutton for punishment so I checked this morning after I hit activate last night.

It seems several after activation was accepted I got messages in the ford app. So if you have 4 new messages you know activation was accepted.

The only down side is the activation starts the trial period for a few connected functions. It is my understanding that you can call the Ford customer service and have the period restarted.

Update: Vehicle Visibility report still shows chip hold.

I though that someone had to affirmatively approve the activation from inside the vehicle. If my truck is just sitting in a lot why would some be in the truck to approve.

I love that it is approved but this entire process just seems so labor intensive. The fact that they are storing vehicles with no chips, moving them, tracking them for completion, moving back to shipping seems like a lot of steps.

Haha, having spent a majority of my working life in Government Service of some sort I've grown accustomed to red tape, slow moving bureaucracies and the waiting.

Just reached out to ford chat to see if any updates myself and here is what i got from the chat.

"it will arrive between June 28th to July 5th, 2022. and the vehicle is located in New Boston, MI. Is there anything else I can assist with you today?

so it "shipped" 2 weeks ago but still sitting in the rail yard in Detroit! i was hoping when i saw some local dealers get there Mannequins that maybe mine was on the same train! unfortunately not!

Just reached out to ford chat to see if any updates myself and here is what i got from the chat.

I had a similar exchange with Ford on June 3rd. My truck was at the dealer on June 4th.

Holy shit someone just accepted my ford pass activation in the truck. Shows it’s about 40 miles from my dealer at a train depot / port. I’m guessing someone unloaded it. Now to obsessively watch the little map icon. So far it’s just sitting there.

So the trucks can be shuffled around in various parking lots with missing chips and trucks produced after our trucks were built are being delivered , but our trucks are lacking these missing chips that went into Lightnings built after our trucks were built. WTF..........I just can't wrap my arms around this nonsense.
