Tim Bartz, the Ford Video Guy said on his live stream Q&A last night that any non wave 1 orders for the Pro that were a result of the back door glitch would eventually be cancelled by ford.

Ouch, would those who did this also lose their (now converted) reservation?

No mention of that.

Everyone should have known it was a risk. Ford was very open with the fact they had no more PROs available to order. If a person ordered a PRO using the "glitch" and lost their reservation, thats on them...

I hope Ford at least gives them the offer to choose a different trim. However, I doubt many will take them up on it.

Yah, most Pro buyers are not type to get a higher trim.

Hope they get to extend their reservations for a MY'24 Pro...

Oh absolutely. I know I likely wouldn't.

Unfortunately I see a 0.0% chance of this happening. I think Ford regretted letting people do that from the 2022 to 2023, hence why they aren't letting anyone do that now.

It's not my fault that Ford allowed me to place the order. The truck uses less parts than a lariat so it's a 'wont' rather than a 'cant' build the truck. If they don't give me the option to change the trim and just flat out cancel the order and I lose the reservation and everything that will be a really bad move on Ford's part. However, personally, I'll just go with a different vehicle. The price of the truck in 2023 has already increased almost $15-20k ($12k in MSRP increases and $3750 to $7k less tax rebate) over a pro that is delivered before the end of 2022. One can buy a new maverick for $20-$30k

During wave 3 the order page showed the pro as sold out. However if you clicked on the Pro information page and clicked around in there for a bit. Eventually some people got the order option to pop up which allowed them to place an order.

It may use less parts, but Ford is only ordering so many of the unique parts that are found only on the Pro. Maybe they 'wont' order any more of those parts, so they 'can't' build them, but it's not like there are truck parts lying around the assembly plant and they refuse to build a truck out of them.

The potential to get a Pro is dead........ no more for 2023, if they are not interested in holding on for a fresh round of XLT's by 8/31/2023, they might as well take the deposit(s) back and wait for open season Model E MY24
