I Use it exclusively as well. Basically a way to get free charge and your break pads will last a long time. It takes about 1 hour of driving in town to get familiar with it and 2 days to get really good at it. Most days I don't use my breaks at all
THANK YOU

I used it pretty much exclusively since I bought it back in November last year, but have recently switched over/back to two pedal mode.

Both have their advantages, I find it much easier to maximize regen under braking / deceleration with one pedal mode.
I like that the 2-pedal mode have a slight "drift" like a normal automatic so you can inch forward by just letting go of the brake, the 1-pedal mode is a bit klunkier when you also have the brake hold activated.
My driveway and garage is very tight, about 1-2" clearance to the mirrors so it stil requires a bit of fine maneuvering and I feel more in control with 2-pedal.

Another concern is muscle memory and ones reaction(time) in an emergency.
THANK YOU

I tried it. I got used to it but I do a lot of highway driving and didn't like the way the truck reacted when I disengaged cruise control so I shut it off.

With blended braking you get the same regeneration efficiency so it's just a matter of what you like. There's no benefit with our without.
THANK YOU

If by “brake hold” you are referring to the “Auto hold” setting, turning on 1PD automatically turns this on. Switching the setting off or on does nothing.

I use 1-pedal exclusively around town, but recently noticed significantly better efficiency with it off on longer freeway drives. I have limited Anecdotal Evidence only, but I’ve gone from 1.8ish in freeway driving to 2.1-2.2 with no other changes. I’m guessing it’s because I can coast when people ahead of me are breaking rather than decelerating rapidly. Then resume driving as normal when traffic permits.

I’d probably defer to others here who maintain there is no difference in regen or efficiency between the two modes as again, other than my numbers (in a small sample size), I’ve got nothing to back it up.

Around town though, I def spare the wear and tear on brakes and go one peddle.

I don't use "one pedal" mode on my Lightning. When an EV gives me the choice, I always opt out. Ford's brake blending is very good and I prefer regen being associated with the brake pedal. Unless you're driving only in stop-n-go traffic, one pedal is less efficient and this is especially true on the highway. As Porsche discovered, coasting is more efficient.

I drove a MMe exclusively 2 pedal for 8 months. Once I got my Lightning, I did 2 pedal for first 500 miles - half highway and half city streets. For the next 1300 I've been 1 pedaling. I seem to get 15% better mpkw with the 1 pedal. As others note, you get used to it quickly and have to relearn how to drive an ICE vehicle. My wife is quick to remind me I'm not in the Lightning and need to brake sooner. Also, the brake pedal on the ICE is much softer.

I used it for the first week, but found that backing into my garage wasn't as graceful with 1pd and its a game of inches and the last thing I want is a lurch into the work bench. For the past 2 weeks I have been driving in sport mode and it seems to be a better balance for me. I get decent regen when I let off, but I still get percise control over the truck when backing into the garage bay. Still barely have to use my breaks when coming to a complete stop.

I have been using 1PD since day one. Occasionally will switch off just for a change of pace. Others have noted better mileage with both modes. In my experimenting, I haven't found any real difference. Temperature and Aero are the biggest factors.

I have never used the "One Peddle" drive mode.

I do, however, use One Pedal drive mode exclusively. It just feels like a sportier drive. I even use it on the highway, no issues.

The one-pedal drive is the best way to get range out of your EV. It doesn't take very long to get used to it - maybe a day or less. Once you adjust, it is no problem. The key is not to take your foot off the accelerator when you just want to slow down a little as you do with the ICE. Just ease up a bit and it slows nicely. The only time I need to touch the brake is when an idiot appears.

As temps warm, range increases, nothing to do with drive modes...

This is one of the reasons why I advocate for a one-pedal drive button that is always available in the system tray at the top of the screen.

With the 15" interface update, the 1PD control is now easier to get to than it was, but still involves going into the display. Chevy gets 1PD right in the Bolt with a dedicated hardware switch.

Wife's S is one pedal. It's OK. I go old-school 2 pedal.
