My SOH dropped to 98.5% around 6K and now at 9K immediately after a 1 minute 4kWh supercharging (at 168kW), SOH dropped to 98%. Battery temp was around 70. Ambient temp was in 60s. And I have extra cooling in my pro. I have no idea why this short charging session should shave off my SOH.
Apparently following is how it works but I still can't figure it out. I have had less than 20kWh of DCFC for the life of the vehicle. Almost all charging has been Level 2 at less than 32kWh. For over 95% of it's life battery has been sitting at SOCs between 40%-60%. It has been charged to 100% maybe once and sat there for less than 15 minutes. Even for my long distance trips, I rarely go over 90% SOC, 95% on a few occasions. I usually let the battery sit after driving for a few hours before charging. I charge during day in winter and at night in summer. I try to keep my lead foot under control as much as possible. I could not baby this battery any more but my SOH seem to be way bellow norm. Now I am afraid of fast charging. I don't know of a way to slow down the fast charging session
By the way I have not done any of the CSPs. My module voltage variation seem normal.
Would you guys please share what is the age of your battery, SOH, milage and how much DCFC you have had? And any other info you care to share about how your battery was treated like how often you floor it or charging/driving with cold battery. If any of you have measured the energy your battery is holding at 100% SOC along with your SOH, please share that too. May be with enough posts on this threat, we can figure out how this works.
