There was an interview with Farley yesterday and he mentioned texting Musk about the adapters. He didn’t say what the response was. If you need an adapter this year I would suggest ordering one from A2Z. The relevant part of the interview starts around the 21 minute mark.
Text Transcript:Today 6/7
Order Number: FAE:90001140 is on its way.
Maybe Elon was just waiting for the begging from Ford. Needed his ego stroked.
Elon: (sees this post) Stop production.Text Transcript:
Farley: Hey, what’s going on with the adapters?
Elon: You’re fired.
Farley: I don’t work for you.
Elon: Does that matter?
Farley: …I’ll publicly acknowledge I respect you if you start shipment again.
Elon: Deal.
That's what I'm picturing, some guy handwriting the labels, throwing them in the back seat of his own car, dropping them off at a fedex location on his lunch breakYou would think that just a single guy packing boxes could package a couple of hundred in a day, I guess we will know in a week if the rollout is on again or if Ford and Tesla are just playing games with us; again.
You're a higher number than me and mine doesn't have a shipment pending. I officially dislike you.Order #1917. Shipment pending from FedEx.
You're assuming there's a shipping department and not just one single Bob who is responsible for unloading the pallet from the trucks, unpacking them, separating them into individual boxes, printing out cards, faking Farley's signature, sealing them up, printing out the mailing list from a Windows 95 machine, rebooting, calling IT for help, successfully printing but not sure to which corporate printer it went to, finding Susan to help, locating the printed mailing labels in another building, heading back only to find another pallet has arrived, getting deflated and calling it a day, comes in the next morning to finally apply the label, puts the box in a corner, and waits until 6pm when FedEx comes to pick it up.The boxes are relatively small, one pallet load of them could be between 500 and 1000 units, no? I feel like any shipping department could knock 20,000 out in a week, as long as they got them in.
You forgot one guy making them all by hand tooYou're assuming there's a shipping department and not just one single Bob who is responsible for unloading the pallet from the trucks, unpacking them, separating them into individual boxes, printing out cards, faking Farley's signature, sealing them up, printing out the mailing list from a Windows 95 machine, rebooting, calling IT for help, successfully printing but not sure to which corporate printer it went to, finding Susan to help, locating the printed mailing labels in another building, heading back only to find another pallet has arrived, getting deflated and calling it a day, comes in the next morning to finally apply the label, puts the box in a corner, and waits until 6pm when FedEx comes to pick it up.
Bob is capable of 3, maybe 5 boxes per week.
I’m having trouble locating your spreadsheet. Help please. Please keep the updates coming in if you've got shipping information, then give another update when they arrive. I also got my email for shipping just a few minutes ago.
I will make an update to the spreadsheet tracker later this evening and add all updates that are shared in this thread.
