But I won’t tell if you don’t.
Ha. Deal. @MikeG, is the best spot for the charge under the panel on the passenger side of the frunk or is it better to connect directly to the battery? My battery seemed to drop pretty quick with the connections under the panel to the left but I also thought I read not to hook directly to the battery.

Well, the update did complete with no errors. I think I probably could find a better location to hook my charger up as my voltage did drop during the process more than I think it should have. I did not receive any errors during programming. It did hang at configuring so I had to restart everything. I ran the configuration tool and all seemed good. I do however know have a DTC on my SCCM relating to the IPMA. I received this DTC: U023A:08:2A and I can't get it to clear. However I did also find this relating to my VIN:

SSM 52224 2021-2023 F-150 - DTC U023A:08 After Steering Column Control Module (SCCM) Reprogramming [Some 2021-2023 F-150 vehicles may exhibit DTC U023A:08 after reprogramming the SCCM. Do not replace or reprogram the SCCM, image processing module A (IPMA) or their components for this condition at this time. This DTC does not alert the customer, will not affect vehicle durability or vehicle operation and no additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition at this time. Engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that will reprogram the IPMA and is expected in Q2 2024. Monitor OASIS for additional information].

Finding that, I think I am good but unsure. Is there a way I could re-run both the SCCM and IPMA updates just to be sure?
How long did it take to do the IPMA update?

I thought I read somewhere that you should not connect the ground to the battery Because of the module but I will defer to people with more knowledge than myself! After my failed IPMA I connected positive to the battery and a negative (ground )to the post under the frunk panel and seemed to get a little less drop that way.

I like to connect in the battery compartment with lugs instead of battery clamps. You connect directly to the positive terminal. For negative DO NOT connect to negative battery terminal. Instead connect to the other side of the BMS sensor or frame ground.

I use both the positive and ground post under the frunk panel and I’ve had no issues when programming over multiple hours of updating.

If I want to connect 2 chargers to piggyback could I use the connections under the frunk panel and also the post on the battery or should they all be hooked up to the same posts?

So I re-did the PMI for both SCCM and IPMA. I also re-ran the configuration for both as well. The DTC is still there. It is a known issue per the Ford SSM I posted earlier so it looks like I will have to wait for another IPMA update? I don't really know...
IPMA's are known to show some codes after programming that may go away after you drive a bit and everything settles. Even if they don't go away, if you are not having any issues, ignore the codes. My truck also reports IPMA codes even though everything is working fine.

Time for my random post about the Power Train module updates. It August and just wondering if there has been any word on for if they are still holding off or not. Kind of a bit sad that it's taking them this long to fix these updates.

Yes, @Mike G made a post about this before. I am not sure if it was here or the Mach E forum, but he modified some Clore's to be able to attach one to the other to do this.

Well I know Mike G said it was pushed to August, and I know its not that far into it but just was wondering as I do not have access to see the system that gives dealers those bulletins.

The SSM still says August. Whether is comes sometime this month or not remains to be seen.

Cool, that is all I was wondering was if it was still in August or if they had updated. Guess we will see. :D
