Same here, and I found it annoying in the IT world, just as I find it annoying when my medical family tries to use them. It's kind of a basic thing to know your audience and then speak accordingly. You don't sound smarter just because you use terminology of that field....Hmm... maybe for the day, definitely not in the running for month or year. It's insane how presumptive people are that everyone understands all this crap.. and that is coming from someone with an IT background which like many industries is laden with acronyms.
Your truck has nothing to do with how the app looks and you know if you received the email from Ford and are in the beta. If you are posting someone else's screen shot and you don't have it in your version of the app, then you know they are violating their terms of the beta program.Trucks at dealership for TSB. This is new, or was this in the most recent beta release?

I had a CSP for the heated steering wheel a few weeks back and was having major issues with my SYNC system. I told them and they had to keep it about another week and get help from several escalation levels at Ford, but eventually I got the truck back and am up to date with no issues. Even running BC 1.4, after previously having software that was last updated in 2023...I have my CSP fix for the front sensors scheduled on Monday. How do I gently tell the service department to hook up the 12v to a battery tender without sounding like one of those a-hole customers who thinks they know better than the trained technicians?![]()
I'm between Potomac Mills and Dumfries.anyone near Quantico VA want to assist with their FDRS?
My truck has been in the shop for the better part of a month due to issues with the front sensor CSP and my truck "refusing" to update the IPMA module. My understanding is that it finally took a software update on Friday and that I should be able to pick it up tomorrow.I probably wouldn’t bother if I were you. Eventually these updates should come OTA so you’ll get them anyway. The forum is full of posts about incompetent techs that brick modules and kill 12V batteries so there’s a risk your truck could be in the shop for more than a day. I have the CarPlay no audio problem so I’m probably going to get mine done along with my 20k service in a few weeks but my dealer has a good record on EVs.
Name a time and place and I’m there.I'm between Potomac Mills and Dumfries.
I should have been more clear that I am down the road from you but happy to meet up with a fellow owner for lunch or dinner. I have not tried to do any programming on my vehicles due to issues with modules having gotten “bricked“ over the years at the dealerships - whether it be Volvo, Subaru, Chevrolet or Ford). Right now, I’m hoping to get my truck back tomorrow after it spending a month at the dealership for the front park sensor CSP.Name a time and place and I’m there.
With a six pack.
I’ll let you know Thursday. I went by the dealer and scheduled it today. The service advisor knew exactly what I was talking about and it sounded like they had done a few already. So I am very interested in seeing if anyone is successful getting a dealer to fix this.
The only updates I have not yet received are 10.3 and VC 1.4, but today I still had Carplay wireless go out (was connected but no volume). The normal quick procedure fixed it like always, but I would like to get this resolved. I also had to turn off the built in Alexa, due to it crashing the modem constantly.
Mine is an early ‘22 Lariat ER. I haven’t received the notice from Ford. Everything works though. But I don’t have and really want “walkaway locking”. Does the program described by the actual notice that began this thread get that for me?Got my vehicle back this afternoon. I have been staying up with updates via FDRS myself, but apparently I had the following applied by my local dealer - GWM, BCM and RFA. I can confirm that walk away lock works now. Its to early to tell if this fixed my carplay no audio issues. So far so good though![]()
No worries. Hope you get your rig back in time though. Missing some pristine driving conditions out here….(joking)I should have been more clear that I am down the road from you but happy to meet up with a fellow owner for lunch or dinner. Sorry for not being clear.
