Would it look goofy if it was just wrapped in a Carbon Material? I wonder if they could make the knob flush with the rest of the console without sticking out.

I'd like to see it mounted at a slight angle to help mitigate damage from accidental coffee spillage (it's right next to cupholders).

The knob actually IS motorized. If you open a door or turn the truck off while in gear the knob actually turns as the light up indicators make their way to "P"

My son said on his Mach-E the knob doesn't physically turn. But the lights circle thru N and R back to P to give the illusion that it's turning.

What does that look like (in the Superduty)?

Finding a good photo of a Super Duty is surprisingly hard to do. I was a little mistaken about where the vertical phone charger is located. I can't easily post a photo so I'll do my best to explain it.

On the SD there are two cup holders in the same location as our truck. In place of the shifter is a multi-use cup holder/storage space. Ahead of the storage space is a vertical phone charger that is a bit easier to reach than our horizontal chargers.

I was thinking the vertical charger was where the front part of the cup holder/storage space is but it's actually ahead of that. The SD has a column shifter so the space is much more useful for storage and convenience.

I just want to make sure I'm understanding, the link goes to an "ESCAPE BRONCO" shifter. And looks like there may be limited quantity of those $30 items. Are all the shifters that come up as alternatives basically the same? Obviously there is none that says it's for "Lightning".

This is something @Ford Motor Company should sell as as accessory kit. Dealers could make a buck or two on optional installation and I bet it could be made to support ICE F-150s as well.

Price is my guess for using the Escape/Bronco version, the machE shifter looks to be over $100.

Ford Parts Giant has the Mach-E version a lot cheaper than the Escape/Bronco versions.

The Escape and Bronco Sport versions are around $185 from there.

I guess the Ebay deal is the best one....but I've seen that even on the FPG site they list different revisions that have been superseded by new other ones, so I'm wondering what the firmware differences would be and if that would be a factor.
