Under "ideal" conditions your truck has an estimated range of 320 miles, versus the newer ER which only go about 300 miles, things of trivia since given how most of us do not drive in ideal conditions, we never see these values on a regular basis.I’ll be honest I have zero idea what that means![]()
In the past, I've bought a brand new Duralast Gold battery from AutoZone and it turned out to be a dud. So a brand new 12v battery failing is a possibility.
Voltmeter or OBDII reader could also provide additional clues as to 12v SOC. Could also look up which error codes are getting thrown.Anyone close by with a jumper cable should be able to help test that theory.
You know, the great (maybe not so great in your POV) thing about electronics is their bathtub curve. You either have infant mortality or you dont. Basically, electronics will either break at the very beginning of their service life or die a miserable death at the very end when its all worn out. You ideally want the latter but having the former isnt too bad either. Its my way of saying that you should hopefully not run into any other issues after this one; enjoy your truck! So dealership said most likely a faulty junction box. Known issue they’ve seen and thought should be fixed on a 25 but apparently not. We will see.
I did ask them that specifically, if this issue typically comes back. They said nope that the replacement is an updated part and shouldn’t break again. Whenever they give you the service report which shows the DTC that popped up and part they replaced may you kindly upload it here.I did ask them that specifically, if this issue typically comes back. They said nope that the replacement is an updated part and shouldn’t break again. Fingers crossed
Agree. I’m not aware of an update to the HVBJB on the Lightning.Whenever they give you the service report which shows the DTC that popped up and part they replaced may you kindly upload it here.
edit: Im also wondering which part this is. Other than the Gear Shift Module always being a problem, im not aware of any parts that has been an issue on previous lightnings which ford has carried over into the 25 models. The HVBJB was an issue on MMEs which Ford carried over a couple of years but eventually released an updated part. Not saying he is referencing that but now im curious.
Sounds like he got a "Not My Job" truck.Looks like you have a Job-1 131 KW HVB (eight character is = 7)
Job-2 trucks have U for 123 KW HVB
The phrase suggests that your vehicle is from an initial production run ("Job-1") and is equipped with a high voltage battery (HVB) that supports an electric motor with a power output of 131 kW (approximatelyI’ll be honest I have zero idea what that means![]()
