This is hardly a killer issue but it is one of the few hardware/ physical issues with the truck.

I have Android S22 ultra with a USB-C port and the wireless charging. I use the wireless charger at night.

I have tried, while in the truck, any of the 3 options. USB-A to USB-C, USB-C to USB-C , and the wireless pad. None of them can provide enough juice to even keep the charge on the phone from falling, let alone increase.

I have had the dealer replace the charging system and nothing has changed. It doesn't charge the phone.

I keep a wall wart charger plugged into the 120 volt outlet on the dash.

Any one else noticed this?

I think I have seen my Android use more power than available from the USB ports. I wonder if doing Google Maps is the only app that using too much power? How is the 120Vac outlet working for you?

I've had no issue with the USB-C to C providing plenty of charge. I use Android Auto.

It's not very fast, but it's definitely charging faster than it's dropping. You either have a bad cable, not getting enough amps from the port, or your phone is burning juice at an incredibly high rate (which is unlikely since you don't have this problem with the charger plugged in).

I get plenty of charging from the USB C with an iPhone and using CarPlay. The wireless pad in the console is useless.

All the ford wireless charger pads are bad for any phone with a camera bump (and maybe others). For my Mache and Lightning I use Peak Design and TWRAPS vehicle-specific chargers:

I was having that issue with my pixel 5 and then my pixel 8 pro when using wireless Android Auto. My XLT doesn't have a wireless charging pad, I bought an aftermarket one and that still didn't help. So I turned off the wireless projection and used the USB connection for Android Auto and charging since my phone had to be charged anyway, which fixed the issue.

It is likely a phone issue. Android Auto is a huge power suck. Particularly on Pixel phones with the Tensor procs.

It is not a phone issue. The USB-C in the truck outputs at 3A, the USB-A is 1 to 1.5A. I would venture to bet that the 120V wall charger you are using at home or plugging into the 120V outlet in the truck is putting out more than 1-3A. My magsafe charger on my nighstand puts out 15A or five times what my USB-C in the truck would. So you are going to charge at a much slower rate. If you are streaming from your phone or have the screen on you could be using more than the USB can supply from the trucks USB ports.

I use the USB-A port with my S22+ and it does ok while using AdroidAuto. I have noticed from time to time when I plug in that it will indicate a slow charge rate. If I see that, I'll unplug and plug back in which usually resolves it.

I have a google 5 and android auto will drain the battery faster than the wireless pad. Wireless pads are very convenient but speed is the price you pay. I see 2-3x faster charging with USB-C cable. add in AA with google maps continually updating and it will drain. If your taking a longer trip use a usb-c cable

There's no way your phone is pulling more than 15 watts from the USB-C power and you're draining the battery.

Something is preventing you from pulling the full power. Either the phone is limiting it for some reason or the truck. It's more than likely the phone.
