I did check the FDRS history for @Lorincz and the tech who did the install of the APIM back in November had a failed PMI process in FDRS and just gave him the truck back without saying anything. Maybe they didn't notice it said the procedure was "unsuccessful" at the end of the process? Dunno. But at least there's something that can be discussed with the service advisor now that there's evidence of shenanigans.

@Lorincz do you have a part number on the work order from when they replaced the APIM, maybe we can confirm wrong part, maybe that's why the programming effort failed??

NO PACKAGE FOUND for hardware is clear they eff'd up the HARDWARE, the as built or it's subsequent enhancements can't load to what's installed on the truck.

I'm not seeing the parts listed above on Tasca Parts.

The dealer is going to have to sort out their mess and the parts & time are out of their pocket on this one.

You may be able to use the Bezel Diagnostics to see what part number the APIM is.

There are a few post around here that explains how to use it. I also found a pdf document that explain how to get into the Bezel Diagnostic screen on your truck.

Your Platinum truck currently has a MU5T-14G681-KF part.

My '22 Lariat has a MU5T-14G681-KG part, if that helps.

See, I'm just wondering why they're having this as a subscription when Apple Maps/Google Maps is right there.

I prefer using Sync Nav and I'm glad I have 3 years of it but it's not worth paying yearly for it. I think they can smack subscription-based payments elsewhere for profit, personally.

Yes, and no.

It will not precondition for a 2022, which doesn't precondition with Ford nav either, confirmed by Ford.

Also, people say when your navigation subscription expires, you won't be able to precondition with AA either. Haven't seen that tested yet.

My October 22 truck had BC and Connected Nav both expiring this October. But then I got the free 1-year BC extension.

Does BC require Connected Nav to work? Curious what happens to BC in October if I let Connected Nav expire.
