As the title says I cannot get departure times to work on my 24 Flash.
Here's what I have done so far:

Truck is always plugged in at home and is connected to my wifi where it sits

I have created, deleted and re-created the "home"charging location in the truck

I have cleared cache, then uninstalled and re-installed Fordpass

I have created departure times in Fordpass, when they didn't work then deleted them from Fordpass and re-created them directly in the truck, which did show up in Fordpass

When a departure time comes around the truck just does nothing.

I can "remote start" the truck thru the app without issue.

Any thoughts/ideas would be appreciated cause I am at the point of just deleting them and starting it when I need to go somewhere, but I'd really like to take advantage of battery preconditioning.
All of my options to set target charge location, departure times, etc. have never worked in my Ford Lightning Flash. I have contacted Ford support and Ford Pass support. They say it is a known issue they are working on and will send out a software update to everyone when it is resolved.

Also make sure Fordpass stays open and not force closed. The Departure times wont work if Fordpass is closed in the background.

The only other thing I have updated my truck fully. You may have several updates available even as a 24. Mine had 14 or so updates when I got it.
The first point above may be at least part of my issue. I am a battery longevity FREAK with my phone so I always close all apps every time I use the phone. I just checked and when you close Fordpass (not just go "home" but actually close it) the app is DEAD. There is no android service started for the app that can be cached by the OS it just dies.

Bad app design from some crappy "programmers", I've fixed a lot of code like this over the years.

I will leave the app "open" on my phone this afternoon and test, my next departure is 5:45PM today.

I have also updated my truck fully with a Mongoose and FDRS. Also got 2 OTA updates, one before and one after.

Other functions work ok. I have my "home" location setup with a target charge of 90%, which it obeys. For me it is just the departure times that won't work.

Also check the time zone on your app. My switched to Detroit GMT at one point. I switched it back to east coast, NY I think and things improved.

I don't see a time zone in the app. Where do you see it?

What charging device are you using? I ask because I had this same problem using an EVIQO charger. It didn't work until EVIQO made a change in their firmware.

Damn, I am using that charger. I bought it back in December. Do you remember the version or what you had to do to get them to update?

This is probably antithetic to your very being but I've been doing it as long as I can remember without consequence.

Ha, thanks. I did try that yesterday before my 5:45 departure time and even left it running in the background. Still didn't work.

I like this truck but I'm pretty much done wasting more time on crappy software that I have no access to. I've just been "remote starting" (which is a whole other pain point for me) it to get the cabin warm. I also have a 17 450 that is the best truck I've ever owned but it too has crappy software, and on that truck I just shut it all off and never looked back. I might just spend the $$$ on a start-x to see if it works on plug to remote start and abandon Fordpass once again.

I've been a software engineer for over 30 years now and am not an open source zealot but JHC if you can't get the job done with your "team" Ford, give us the source so we can fix your crap.

Off soap box now, sorry for the rant. :)

I had this issue on my 24' Flash and after updating the truck fully with FDRS I still had it. The problem is it randomly comes back due to something weird happening between the app, server, and truck or the OTA system changing an offset with the time zone.

The way I fix it is to log out of all devices that have ford pass (iPhone and iPad in my case) I then unhook the 12v battery under the hood for ~5min. Hook 12v back up.
On the center screen, go into settings/general/reset and do a ford pass factory reset on the truck.

This will remove all your charging locations, times, and departure settings. So be prepared to do this during charging times if utilizing time of use charging and plug in at home and set the location and departure times again.

The good news is this fixed it for me for the past month or two no issues. The only oddity I saw when I was away with the truck parked for a couple weeks is the preconditioning would randomly turn itself back on (at least it was the right time with no offset). Even though I disabled the setting in the truck before leaving and I kept having to open the app and disable it when I noticed the app was notifying preconditioning cabin complete. Truck was unplugged and left at 50% SOC

Hopefully this helps someone and eventually it gets fixed soon™ like the random IPC reset that happens and you lose all the speedo screen settings.

Thanks for that. That's something I've not tried yet so I'll give it a go.

It's worth a shot, I'm not sure if they are outsourcing the coding of the app or we just got some bad hires in the software dept lol.
I had to edit to clarify I noticed the ford app notifications not the EVSE app notifying me of the preconditioning while away.
