I'm thinking about buying the bronco handles, stealing the abs covers from them, slapping my primed one onto it and then selling that on eBay.
Ohhh, that's a great idea, if you decide to do this do let us know. That's crazy though that they would already have the part, the physical part, the ABS handle with cutout for the passive module, but just flat out not offer it for the Lightning? WTFord

LOL, CA is a bit far for me, but I'm happy to help with advice.

You don't need a dealer if you just order the two parts I listed. So what if you don't use a few of the connectors, just zip tie them out of the way inside the door. Go for it, be the first Pro owner to try it. You can start by checking your C511 Female plug to make sure you have the ANT wires from the door jamb to the BCM.

It took me a while to get the door jamb plugs exposed- I went out of town and then had to get the pick set once I returned. That said...I got it open today! It looks to me like I have them. These are the right plugs, right? (see attached)

Also, this part has the passive entry hardware right? Then I use my existing door handle with the insides of this?

Is Forescan a freeware program or do I need to purchase it? If I have to purchase it, where do I buy from and how much is it?

Thanks again!

FORScan is free (outside of buying the obd connector/adapter), but for $12 you get their extended license and a bit more support; so it's worth it to me to kick over a few bucks to folks making programs.

Awesome. $12 is nothing to support the people making this happen!

Yep, great job,, yes ML3Z 1522405 DCPTM is the correct handle. and yes, you are basically buying it for the module inside.

FORScan is cheap, you have to buy the license and you then have to request the firmware files I listed in the first post, once you have the licensed version and the files you can make the upgrade.

Do you know the bronco handle part number?

Not 100%, no. It's honestly been a pretty frustrating time trying to find it and figure it out. I tried to buy some of the ABS handles from people on the bronco forum too, but I'm either not getting any responses, or people are just trying to scam.

I think I have the number figured out and I went ahead and ordered them so I'll be able to confirm in a few days when they actually arrive. The parts I ordered were M2DZ7822405CB and M2DZ7822404CB

I got the M2DZ-7822405-CB part and it is the right "color." Just waiting for the four-wire PTM handle to arrive so I can swap the covers.

Is this a cover that matches XLTs with the cutout for the lock button? I did this mod but used a dremel and it isn't perfect. I'd love to swap out the cover for one that looks OEM.

Yes, it has the holes for the button and the key. Holding it up against my Pro's handle, it looks like the covers will be swappable.

I was under the impression that the door handles were not the same. In my research, I'd come up with two different part numbers for the handles (the driver's door has a keyhole and the passenger doesn't). I believe the handle part numbers are ML3Z-1522404-DCPTM and ML3Z-1522405-DCPTM and the harness part numbers are PL3Z-14631-G and PL3Z-14630-G. PLEASE take these with a grain of salt because I have not confirmed the part numbers are correct yet.
I can confirm that the handle parts numbers are correct, but PL3Z-14630-G is not the correct wire harness number.

Could it be the same wire harness number as the driver's side? It appears to use all the same connections, I would think it would work the same. Only thing not used would be the securicode keypad from what I can see/remember

Where can one find a replacement painted handle. My 2022 Lariat has a bad scuff on drivers side handle, idk if I should seek a replacement handle or have a body shop fix it.
Any advice is greatly appreciated!
