Apparently if you have them update the APIM, the toggles are supposed to appear.
Was hoping so, but APIM was included in the modules they updated for the CSP so maybe that version just hasn't been released for my truck yet. In any case, happy WAL is active and works. Switch is secondary

I had my CSPs done on my 22 last week with no issues. Truck is back in the shop this week because, following an AC compressor issue, the tech either fried or failed to reconnect the steering module. I’m having them update the BCM so walk away locks are active with PAK while there. I don’t expect any issues, but bad luck is always out there lurking🤷
That's good to hear, I'm going in next week for frunk issues.

I think you should contact USA Today and have them do a "here is the rest of the story" follow-up article. (This is not a joke ... I am serious. )
I really do love the truck. not one single issue before this.

'22 here. No issues with the front brake sensor update. It was in-and-out of the dealer same day. Is this a tech training issue and not a software flaw?

I can’t fully explain it myself, but clearly there is something wrong with how massive the updates are and what it does to the 12 V battery.

People on this very forum that have used adapters to get the updates themselves, they have had to invest in some heavy duty battery chargers to keep their battery alive during these updates.

Even the smaller portion that is done during the recall, is causing issues with people because Ford is not putting their battery on a charger and the 12 V battery is crashing.

I’ve got update scheduled for next week. I’m so nervous because my truck has been fine lol but I really want the latest features it has.
Set your expectations for 2-3 days so you don't get stuck when you need it. Hopefully no serious issues like @RDeFran had opening this thread! Hope his case gets solved soon.

I had my 2022 in today for the front sensor CSP. I was watching my 12V battery level remotely. I could tell it was on a charger because of the voltage, but the SOC went down to about 26%. Being out of warranty, I would have been upset if it died, but they left it on the charger for a bit after the update was done and it's back in the 90's.

It seems like the non OTA updates really strain the LVB and all the electronics that run off it.
That’s because for whatever reason when updates are done with fdrs the coolant pumps come on for the battery and run the entire time. Sometimes the truck will pull north of 50amps from the LVB. I have a large battery charger I put my truck on whenever I do updates that take time like the IPMA.

‘22 Lariat ER - in the shop for the 2nd attempt to be fixed from the 24B56 CSP. Unfortunately it was fine before I took it in the first time but now no front camera pops up when approaching any objects. Dealer can’t figure it out, and gave me a MME loaner for who knows how long.

You’d think the “fix” would be reliable before people started bringing in their vehicles.

Any recommendations on which 12v battery charger to use?

I don't think it's that the "fix" isn't reliable; I think it's that the service techs are not following the CSP bulletin "to the letter" and just doing what they feel is appropriate based on past experience.

Same here with my 23 XLT ER. I have had zero problems with the front sensors. Every day, they work fine going in and out of my garage. I'm not chancing something going haywire fixing something that isn't broken. Nope...no thanks. The way I read the notice, it is a customer satisfaction issue, not a full blown recall.
I have not had any problems with the front sensors, only the back sensors saying the same thing. I am very hesitant to take it into the dealer without more being wrong with the truck. I hear too much about bricks being developed in the dealers repair shops. I really love my truck, as it is the nicest truck I have ever owned. Still trying to sell my old 2001 F250 7.3 super duty with only 113k miles.

Only glitch seems to be they didn't run the 360 camera config tool or something. Nothing super big. Was easy to get the full size back with FORScan (no cost to me).
What setting is this?
