I think this is the case. So I had help from @21st Century Truck in activating this mod, and the sound was instantly better. While I don’t have the color wheel, if I turn the volume up to about 11 and press the Beosonic button, I can definitely tell that there are preset changes to the equalizers - some highlight background vocals, some focus on the music, and some change the speaker focus. Not that I have the best ears, but as far as I can tell, there are 4-5 different presets pressing that button. The one thing I did notice is that each time I start the vehicle, I have to go press the Beosonic button to “activate” it. It’s very hard to tell on XM music because of the compression, but on downloaded “hifi” Spotify songs, the quality difference to me is noticeable.

This is all anecdotal of course. I could just be hearing what I want to hear.

As it happens, I helped a friend last week adjust his 2023.5 Mach E Premium system to include Beosonic.

At 1st we both heard some slight changes while sitting in his garage. However, after my friend drove the car for several days, he definitely heard the Beosonic changes and loves them. It took him multiple drives, experimenting with different rock and classical music tracks, to grow to recognize the Beosonic's presence.

Unlike the Lightning, the Mach E had a notable electronic systems evolution between the 2023 models and the 2023.5 models. So, as an example, I am pretty sure I wouldn't have heard any Beosonic difference on my now-gone 2022 Premium tech package Mach E.

There were issues when the 2024's first came out (example), but Forscan ultimately released newer versions of their software. Just reading back through this thread you will see lots of success with 2024's.

I have a 24’ and it works great. What’s crazy about glare free you don’t even notice the high beams turning on. I think they gradually turn on as when I was testing them I didn’t even realize they were on and then I pushed the stock and low beams turned on. The technology on the headlights are pretty cool.

This is a new version of the original FORScan thread. It contains historic information but its mods may be out of date.

FORScan allows you to make modifications to certain module settings that change how they operate. The source of many mods is from FORScan guru @Livnitup. He has maintained spreadsheets with module information. You can find them on this thread.

Post #2 gives links to equipment, tutorials, etc. Please read it before doing anything for the first time. And make sure you backup your current settings or write them down before making any changes!

In the settings that follow, “x” means leave the value as is and “-“ is the checksum value that FORScan will re-calculate for you when you write the data. An " * " means the new value depends on the old value so read the notes. While all the settings can be done using As-Built Mode, some can be done with “Easy” mode. Both are shown where applicable.

Global window open/close using keyfob: only works on the front windows because one-touch is not enabled in the back windows.

Glare-free headlights: enhances Auto High Beam behavior to provide localized dimming of brights based on surrounding traffic (pic): Dynamic bending lights continue to work. May take a couple of restarts to take effect. Settings were adapted from this F150gen14 ICE forum thread but HCM settings modified for Lightnings by @FlasherZ in this post. He notes to check there aren't any checksum DTC's set for the HCM. May already be enabled on certain Canadian vehicles.

Enable Silent Mode (AKA campground / dark mode)

Disable Vehicle Power Down Timer at Start - Whenever you start your truck, the Vehicle Power Down Timer is always enabled. This shuts the truck off after 30 minutes. This mod defaults the timer to off at start. See this post for details, warnings and source.

DRL Brightness Adjustment (original post) (not recommended)
This setting affects the DRL which is the lamp between the top and bottom headlamps (pic). It is not the light bar which is on XLT and above. Careful - you may get flashed by oncoming drivers if turned up too bright.

FEVSOV=front evaporator shutoff valve.

I figured that out by Googling "Ford fesov."

You might get further by comparing your as-built to one that isn't corrupted. What exactly did you do to screw it up?

If you haven’t run FDRS or taken it to the dealer (who ran FDRS) or received an OTA, there is a very good chance the AsBuilt stored online is still good, i.e., pre-screw-up (link).

If not, let me know what options you have (particularly MaxTow) and I can send you the AsBuilt of a similar truck.

I've made a couple changes to my wife's Navigator using Forscan but the Lincoln community is about as interesting in working on their own vehicles as you would expect them to be. Anyway, at one point I decided I wanted to attempt to activate glare-free headlights. After a couple hours cross-referencing @Livnitup's spreadsheet and not getting very far I decided that giving up was the best use of my time considering I don't even know if the hardware is installed and my wife doesn't care.

There are a couple tools online that let you compare files, highlighting the exact differences between them. If your motorcraft as-built files are the originals it should highlight the exact changes you made and thus how to fix them.

The Expedition and Navigators are different. I have tried to get lane change etc to work on them with no success. Side-loaded BAE from a 2024 Navi to a 2022, tried side-loading the BBC IPMA software from our trucks onto one, too.....failure. One guy even swapped an entire IPMA from a 2024 onto his truck and we still could not get it to work. The most successful attempt was the 2022 Navi we side-loaded the BAE software on. In his case, we got lane change to work even though the toggle on the touchscreen was grayed out indicating it was not working, but no luck getting in lane repositioning or predictive speed to work. I suspect the software int he GWM is not set up to support it which is what is making it impossible to figure out. The same may apply to glare-free lighting and other things we can do on our trucks.

I noticed you're using a Mongoose. Wouldn't it be easier to fire up FDRS and write the config to the affected modules directly from Ford?

So my truck has been at the dealer for three full days to try to fix the Apple play issue that I’ve been having as well as trying to fix the fact that I have not had an OTA since October. I’ve had it in there twice and they have told me they have updated the modules each time. They finally called me and told me that it’s taken three days because they had to work with the mothership.

I was wondering if anybody out there could check to see if I have all the updates if I provide my VIN I don’t have that ability and would like to know before I head to the dealer to get my truck. I would really appreciate any help anybody could give.

2024 Lariat, it appears my truck defaults to 100% brightness and the 726-42-01 was also set with the x2x2 value. I tried changing the value to 10% and noticed no change on the DRL.

You might double-check your values or you bought a used truck that someone modified. I have As-Built data on over (80) 2022-2025 Lightnings of all trim levels and every one of them has:
