So I am taking my '22 Lariat ER in Tuesday for the front park sensor and charge cord sticking customer satisfaction campaigns. Over a year ago I enabled glare free matrix lights, Lincoln fold mirrors and seatbelt chime disabled with Forescan. Do I need to backup all my modules before I take it in?

At some point I plan to reverse the Lincoln fold mirrors as it disables the puddle lights and enable walk away lock and side cameras on with blinkers if that ever becomes an option without a trailer connected.

Probably always good to make a backup...

I backup my original (aka as-built) settings and then backup all changes with file names of what I enabled or disabled. Easy enough to do, and then gives you the ability to change everything on or off, or at the very least, to see what your settings were at different points in history.

Back it up as mentioned but it seems most of the mods overwrite your as-built. I have the matrix headlights and seat belt chime delete and didn't have any issues after the front sensor csp or any of the 20+ module updates I manually did in FDRS.

Glare free is enabled in Canadian Lightnings so it should be possible.
So is there a need to do this? If it’s a Canadian lightning does the matrix lighting do anything in addition to the glare free feature that comes with it on a Canadian vehicle?

I am attempting to do the same on a 2024 Flash, but when I try to edit IPC lines per the OP, it gives only the option for an odometer write. I cannot get to the settings below. Were you able to?
IPC720-01-01xx8xxxxxxx--
IPC720-10-01xxxxxxx3xx--
did you still need help with this? I'll try to check it out this evening if so.

Appreciate it. I tried the non-“as built” option and was able to make the change but still do not have the green icon, it’s still white. I do have the glare free option turned on. I have not had a chance to test glare free well so am unsure whether or not it is working. Do you have the green auto headlight icon?

Hello, I have a quick (albeit probably dumb) question, just to make sure I'm doing this right. I have made the backups and changed a couple of settings but regarding the glare free forscan mod.

I know where there is an "x" you leave that value alone, and only change the numbers noted. example:

DDM 740-06-02 xxxx xxxx 01--

what about the dashes after 01, do we leave those unchanged as well? I assume so but just wanted to be sure. Thank you!

Thank you! I literally just found another question on this forum just like mine! :)
Ha, if you really search you will find 10!
They are check digits and FORScan will automatically change them. It will give you a warning that the check digits don't match when you change something and hit save. But you can ignore since it will do the checksum math for you.
