Yes it is some what, unless you are very new here...Yes I fixed the title sorry I thought it was a known acronym
Well, no, all I was saying is that I think OP was referring to the computer module, but "everyone" is responding to the thread as if it was the physical shifter and as far as I know they're not the same / a single unit.@mr.Magoo alludes to the possibility of multiple parts under suspicion.

The actual shifter has been known to be a problem, and people on the forum have had them replaced because of the yellow wrench. Ford does call the physical shifter the GSM.Well, no, all I was saying is that I think OP was referring to the computer module, but "everyone" is responding to the thread as if it was the physical shifter and as far as I know they're not the same / a single unit.
Not to split hairs, but I think they actually call the physical shifter an "assembly", hence the confusion, at least on my part. The actual shifter has been known to be a problem, and people on the forum have had them replaced because of the yellow wrench. My point is to determine the specific part(s)a few members have said were swapped, was it two or more unique devices, modules, selectors, fidgets widget's, give it any name you want, I want facts and part numbers, that will end the BS.Well, no, all I was saying is that I think OP was referring to the computer module, but "everyone" is responding to the thread as if it was the physical shifter and as far as I know they're not the same / a single unit.

Thank you, now to see what all parts were thrown at @NCevGuyF150 truck I'm curious if any other devices were shotgunned to try fixing the problem, or was it multiple of the above GSM's, how many bad units are coming out of the supplier? The GSM is the physical shifter.

Im betting on a shit design from the OEM. Cool idea in theory but terrible execution. A quick search on the ICE gen 14s and some people have had up to 4 GSMs replaced. Like I said, I refuse to fold my shifter because of this reason.Thank you, now to see what all parts were thrown at @NCevGuyF150 truck I'm curious if any other devices were shotgunned to try fixing the problem, or was it multiple of the above GSM's, how many bad units are coming out of the supplier?
