Lightning Software Updates using FDRS

Anyone in SoCal who can help me out with FDRS updates? I am willing to pay for the 3 day license and extra for your time.

Looking for someone who has the Mongoose and 12v power supply. I really want to try out the new APIM software since ours is freezing up about 2-3 times a week now. Ford Dealer won't even attempt to request a replacement of the APIM Ford even though it's been doing this since purchase last year. Our other local Ford dealer won't look at the truck unless I drop it off and let them park it in "door ding alley" for a week until they can look at it... plus agree to pay a diagnostic fee if no trouble found.

Just tried the BCM update last night and still have the NASTF account login blocker.

Anyone in the Charleston, SC area with a NASTF or dealer login who could help me get past this? Willing to pay.

Well I had an APIM update show up in FDRS yesterday. Completed it today, 6GBs taken up on the USB stick and I was thinking it was the new layout and it was. My icons are now the same as my dad's Mach E, no other updates after that one.

Possibly, like I said it just showed up in FDRS yesterday for me, I actually like the new icons. The icon for the settings looks nice. I will grab a screen shot for anyone interested here a little later.

That's exciting! Just to confirm, this is the APIM update and it's effectively a UI update only?

As soon as we confirm there's a way to get around the credentials for installing Walk Away Lock (BCM), I'll gladly get another 48-hour license to install these items.

I just got this one this morning. Haven’t had time to look around to see what else changed besides the icons.
It was a 6gb install, so it took about 2 hours from start to finish.

Yeah took about the same time, and it was an APIM update. It does seem to be a little smoother and I notice similar things my dad saw when his Mach E got it. It appears CarPlay connects faster as well. So I'm hoping that is the case but we will see.

With the VIN, I can see what version the BCM is on now and if there is an active BCM OTA, I can see which version it wants to update the BCM to, but I do not know by memory which BCM strat is the one that gives you that feature. I can tell you which BCM strat is the one that gives you that with the VIN of a truck that already has it.

rugedraw, can you check my vin to see if the bcm update might come OTA. I just got this lightning a couple weeks ago. Spent yesterday updating everything with FDRS still need the login for the bcm update. Also is there a way to tell which bluecruise version a person is on? 1FTVW1EV4PWG30349
