Lightning Software Updates using FDRS

@Mike G or @rugedraw I was just curious if the Powertrain bulletin was still saying August or since we are almost at the end if they pushed it back into September? I checked FDRS this morning and they still show the warning so I was just curious since this is the last week in August.

rugedraw, can you check my vin to see if the bcm update might come OTA. I just got this lightning a couple weeks ago. Spent yesterday updating everything with FDRS still need the login for the bcm update. Also is there a way to tell which bluecruise version a person is on? 1FTVW1EV4PWG30349

No 2021-2023 F150/Lightning has anything other than BC 1.0 unless you have the newer IPMA software (which you do) and activated the new features with FORScan.

So I'm going to say I don't think we will be getting the powertrain warning lifted before August. Surprised they haven't pushed the bulletin back into September, also I am wondering why it is taking so long to fix.

So I was looking up something else on PTS and saw this just now (wasn't there earlier this morning)

And when viewing the details:

Zero byte file size? And Wi-Fi is necessary?

FDRS doesn't show anything right now, but then again I haven't actually gone out to the truck to connect and run a network scan (it might actually show up then). We'll see.

The 23-PU113-UNX-DC TCU connectivity update is the same way. 0 byte size because all it did was change the config in one location, so I think it is safe to assume this does the same thing. That was the first OTA I ever saw that said wifi was required.

I'm out at the truck now connected up. FDRS still only says I have a TRM update available and the GVMS blocks are still there for the powertrain...but the Check Updates screen says it's downloading the update (truck is on house Wi-Fi right now as well).

Don't have any idea how long the download is...it might have already concluded for all I know, since it never actually says when it's finished downloading.

So having checked PTS again, I guess I can shut the truck down since it looks like the OTA is ready to launch.

After checking PTS again after shutting down it says it was successful and was listed as "FIRE-PRD-SOFTWARE-FNV2" for the gateway.

Not sure if it was as much an update as it was a test to see if my truck was 'paying attention'.

No files were harmed during this update apparently.

Must be me, and that PDM is the bane of my existence. No matter how many times I attempt to update that module it stays there. It always says successful and doesn't take long but it never goes away. No idea why.

Common issue with the door module updates. Happens a lot with the ACM, too. I've had an ACM update showing that I did months ago and it won't come off.

I'm waiting to do another 2 day license until Ford allows the BCM update and/or whatever powertrain updates, etc. I'm still curious what I have pending, if I would be able to do the APIM update for the newer UI icons and what else I may be "missing". I have previously updated as much as possible but that was a few months ago at this point.
