Not sure where else to post this, but I have a bunch of messages in my inbox from some of you guys. I'm on vacation in a cruise this week and don't have access to my resources, so I'll get to you guys that messaged me when I get back.

Enjoy. you deserve a break every now and then.

And out of boredom, I got a 72 hr PTS subscription if anyone needs anything checked. Looks like I have quite a few modules with updates available but no official BC 1.4 love yet.

It If I recall correctly, I could have sworn I read that you had a list of times it was taking to install updates for each module. I just can’t find it anywhere. Would you be able to tell me how long it took to install the latest update for PSCM??

Wouldn't think it'd be more than a few minutes. Looks like it went pretty quick when the dealer did front sensor csp on mine and think it was like 5 min for the update when I did one month later.

Those at the exact two modules I have left to update. I’m holding off on the IPMA until I get my charger back. I just wanted to make sure I could do the PSCM without having to worry about hooking up the charger.

Thanks for the info!

IPMA update for the official 1.4 is there in the list.

The tool dealers use to do updates is faster than the Mongoose. IPMA/PSCM will take about 2.5 hours for us to do.

The PSCM takes 5 minutes normally. But because the script is going to also group in the IPMA if it hasn't been done yet, then that might be the long pole in the tent (2.5hrs with a Mongoose).

I just bought the TOPDON J2534 on Amazon's Big Spring Sale for $240 delivered (Prime). I like the fact that I'd be able to use it on my Mini as well as all my Fords...and anything else I run across...apparently all you do is download the correct driver for whatever the brand is you're working with...lifetime updates. Win-win!

Plus, that's less than half of the price of a Mongoose.

It's nice to see your "endorsement" of this product by purchasing. Do you think it has been put through its paces and adheres to the standards needed for all updates? I'm referring to the much cheaper OBDII link cable that most use for Forscan. That was used a while for FDRS until it was found it wasn't capable of all things FDRS and caused problems.

I guess I was always leery of and steered away from wireless products for doing major SW updates. EDIT - ignore this part, it does appear to be corded. I thought it was cordless.

Well I promise to followup, and may even go so far as to attempt a PMI on my IPMA, just to see what happens.

So consider my purchasing this adpater as a 'conditional' endorsement until then 🙂

Do you happen to know if the TOPDON is supposed to be faster than the Mongoose??
One page back it was reported to be the same. Also he had an issue with it but solved it by updating the firmware.

I just bought a Bosch mastertech 2. It appears to be identical to Ford VCM 3. Does anyone know if the sd memory slot loaded with 128gb chip will do or help do?
