Hoping someone from the Ford BEV Team might see this. I have a 23 lightning Lariat ER. VIN# 1FTVW1EV4PWG30349 I have a yearly subscription to FDRS and I normally do my updates that way. Just a few days ago I did a decent amount of updating and it did a few of the different battery/charging modules. After those were complete I noticed all of my saved ā€œtarget chargingā€ locations were cleared. I am now not able to save any charging locations. Whenever I try to save either on the app or in the truck it states that I need to first charge at a location and then I can save it. Iā€™m at home charging and have charged at least 6-7 times and no joy. Canā€™t save anything. If someone from the team or anyone else has thoughts please let me know. Thanks!

If you are sure the updating is done, you may want to try a 12V reset. A full truck reboot should restart the modules in the correct order and clear the communication paths between them.

Thatā€™s not a bad idea. The updates show completed. So Iā€™ll try that tonight and see if it works and report back.

I had something like that a few weeks ago on the Ford app. It wouldn't save my target charge at home. I believe I shut my phone all the way off and turned it back on. I did play with several settings so that may not be the resolve for you since I tried so many things. I always charge it to 80% after I use the truck and then when I know I am going to need more, I charge it to 100%. I may be missing something and it does say you can change the charge level while you are charging, but when the truck is at 80% along with the target at 80%, you cannot plug it in and move the target to 100%. I just move it to 100% before I plug it in. Sorry if that got a bit off topic.

So tried the 12v reset and no joy. Iā€™ve also tried reprogramming the battery energy control module. Although Iā€™m not sure thatā€™s the module that would control the target charging. I need to find out which module does that task. I think Iā€™m going to have to figure out how to get a hold of someone on the bev team. Itā€™s not worth trying to go to tue dealer. They will be clueless. Especially since I have fdrs. If anybody has a clue or path to the bev team let me know. Thanks!

Only thing I can think of is to try charging at a brand new location that hadn't been saved yet. Maybe it just isn't displaying the locations and it won't let you make new ones where they already exist.

@Mike G or @rugedraw might have better idea as far as what to check in FDRS.

I will have to defer to Mike on this. I don't own an EV, so these EV-specific issues I have never dealt with and not sure what to do to troubleshoot.

You actually have to *delete* your home location and then charge and save it again, and then you can save your limit again. I know it's a PITA, but I've had to do this a couple of times with both the MME and the Lighting over the last couple of years after doing some updates.

Yeah the locations are hidden. The reason I know that is magiclly after reinstalling the programming for the becm and plugging truck in it gave me the option to save my house finally! But when I went to name it home that choice was greyed out and soninned it home1 just to make sure itā€™s in there. So itā€™s better than nothing lol. At least itā€™s letting me do it again.

Yep. Just got back home and all seems to be well. I was able to set up charge times on my ā€œhomeā€ location and now I have the tab back to add more locations. Only weird thing is that on my app it shows ā€œwaiting to chargeā€ until 9p even though Iā€™m on eastern time and truck is set to start charging at 11p thatā€™s when rates drop to .07kwh šŸ˜ but shit Iā€™ll take it! Iā€™m just glad all is working and thanks to all for the suggestions.
