These are the folks mentioned in this thread so far with problems, a couple seem to have self corrected. Who is missing here if someone knows of 33 reports in the forum? Wish folks would put more in their signatures of build date, model detail, and battery type. Maybe @Ford Motor Company would give us a complete list!

For me it was a faulty module and took Ford 5 weeks to replace. Has been working fine since. XLT extended range

So is it safe to surmise that this issue relates to a battery module / cell issue ?

Has any Lightning had a contactor (HVBJB) replaced ??

That's normal, power is reduced as soc gets lower.

Even Tesla, with all their known issues last longer than this.

Tesla was swapping out cars like crazy to keep up appearances in their first few years and still have problems and recalls. At least Ford has an actual dealer network to handle repairs and so far has been pretty good at taking care of their customers.

There will always be problems and being some of the first to jump on the truck is a risk before all of the bugs are worked out.

Those build dates are close enough together to suspect a trend. Obviously, not scientific in any way but there's definitely a pattern.

Mileage at failure? Any dealer estimates on time to repair? No warning email from Ford?

Would be nice if the HV battery cell "near future failure" was picked up by Ford (or by an onboard monitoring/reporting system!) before getting stuck somewhere. I wonder if Ford had an idea of the number of cell failures they were going to get before going into full production, thinking the customers would tolerate the fail rate?

I also wonder about fail rates as the years go by... I hope @Ford Motor Company will prevent the obsolescence of the truck body by having reasonably priced full (solid state?) battery pack replacements by 8 years down the road. I read the average vehicle life is actually 12 years until junked, but pickups are generally kept longer. Of course mileage is another factor, but hopefully the electronics are good for any number of miles.

Ford call mid Feb and email end of Feb

Dealership has the parts but dont know how to fix. They are working on someone else’s truck first. They said maybe I’ll get it back next week. Not holding my breath.

Picked up my standard range Lariat in mid December. About a month ago I got the Powertrain Malfunction Reduced Power message. Took it to the dealer and service said the on board charger needed replacing. They said there was no ETA on when the part would come in but it was okay to drive and the error would keep on appearing. Today I got a Stop Safely Now message and could not start the truck. Ford Roadside Assistance towed it 40 miles to my dealer and now I'm waiting for service to diagnose.

After reading on this forum and the Mustang Mach E forum it's so frustrating to see that this is not a new issue and potentially could be a long to fix.
