Following up from my comment on 12/29/2024 - It is now the 25th day in service (from 12/23/24), 32+ days cumulative within my first year of purchase, and I am still waiting for the dealership to complete the repair for a failed battery module. The other 7-8 days in service was due to issues with parking sensors, frunk, and an open recall.

I purchased the truck in Montana and registered in Colorado right away, but it seems like it qualifies as a lemon in both states, so I have just filed a request for a buy back. I just don't feel confident in the longevity of this truck anymore and will be looking to transition back into an ICE truck after the buy back is complete. If they reject my buy back request, I'll have to go through a lemon law attorney given I meet the legal requirements.

I love this truck so much and it sucks it has to go this way, but it's the right thing to do for myself.

Truck still at dealer because the battery module is on backorder for another 10 days or so. Very frustrating but they did give me a loaner and it was a brand new ICE F150 which makes it even more frustrating having to pay for gas! I bet I'm without my truck for 2 months before its all said and done

What module? My module 3 was requested Fri 10 Jan, Approved by Ford Tues 14 Jan. It’s on the road to the service department right now.
His and yours may be coming from different depots.

Don't forget to get the number to get reimbursed for your gas when you get your truck back.

Why doesn't Ford continue proactively managing the battery module replacement process to improve their customer's experience and confidence in the Ford EV model?

2.5+ weeks without your new vehicle is a terrible experience. These vehicles appear to drive fine and charge okay* for weeks with a couple of cells 30 mV out of family. This is plenty of time for Ford to contact customer with anomalous cell voltages, order the replacement pack, and coordinate a service appointment once the module was delivered all while the customer continues using their vehicle. This alleviates much of the loaner vehicle problem. I was only offered a loaner ten days into the repair, and it's gas . The person who loaned it was completely disconnected from this repair process saying the loaner is due back in two days when the service department says it'll be at least a week until the battery module is delivered. This continues being a bad experience you can fix @Ford Motor Company

*I experienced a normal charging curve below 83% DC and 93% AC with the P0B24 cleared while I had to use the vehicle. The battery management system is smart enough to slow down to protect itself

I also experienced a bit of a disconnect with the loaner process. I was told not to exceed 500 miles and call when I hit 425 to arrange an exchange of loaner vehicles. I called at 425 and they had no other loaners available. I documented the call and will return the loaner with more than 500 miles.

The gradient of all these dealers goes from the best to the worst of the worst. It's a long scale with many being in the middle or lower middle of the scale I would bet.
Imho Ford is not going to lose franchisees by holding dealers to a higher standard. They will revolt, as they did with Ford and their push to electrify the dealerships. It's a 50% take rate nowadays. One has to remember these are independently owned and operated.
Too bad this isn't just applicable to Ford. It seems to be the way things are across the board nowadays.
