Asking for a friend... With Fordpass 5 App is there anyway to get to this screen anymore to ensure you are ready for Tesla Plug & Charge, I can't seem to find it.

Also I was under the belief this update is only needed for Plug and Charge isn't it. Any Ford EV can charge on Tesla NACS enabled superchargers with any Level 3 adapter? Ford, A2Z or Lectron?
Answering for a friend..

No you don’t get the screen anymore. You can go to Energy-Access Permissions and see Plug n Charge but no icons. You can also click on your account and go to connected services.

but I don’t know if that’s generic or if it’ll change based on your software version.

If you don’t have plug and charge you can still activate manually via the Tesla app to initiate charging with an adapter.

I don't have the update and have been able to charge without issue using A2Z adaptor. I just got the Ford one, should work just the same.

On the app, it always takes me 15 min to find where the toggles are. I can't recall where but I am fairly sure I saw a page in the 5.0 app. I'll see if I can find it when I take a break (assuming no one else has chimed in).

Edit: It's in the Energy tab -> Access and Permissions

Doesn't look like you can pick and choose which networks though.

I have to bump this.
With the mailing of adapters resuming, I suspect a lot of BEV's will be seeing this update in the coming weeks, ideally should be rolled out [JIT] as adapters are listed for mail out.

I don't think that's the case. The Tesla plug and charge came to my MME on 3/1 but still not yet to my Lightning. Adapters for both are coming tomorrow. Since my truck at the dealer today for 24B56, I asked the to look for Tesla update.

That's my opinion, what the moco does is another story, but if I were designing a distribution model taking into consideration bottlenecks and service capacity, I'd schedule VIN's on the street with adapter orders scheduled for mail out.

Make sure that your connected services for Blue Oval Charge Network is active and backed by one or more credit cards.

Start in FP select icon at upper right to reach Account, select connected services

Wait for page to load, then find BlueOval Charge Network, click Manage, when the next page comes up, you can review and update card information near the bottom of that page. Once this is done make sure the plug & charge switch is turned on as noted above.

Is there a simple way to check if my truck (XLT) has received this priority update? I don’t remember receiving this update, but today, my truck received the 10.1 update. I understand that updates can be sent non-sequentially.

Do you have a Sync 4 app called Public Charging?
Can you find and filter Tesla stations that are NACS Adapter capable?
Then you must have gotten the update, unless it was repackaged in a later release.

See post 14 for example for a Sync 4a view point, I didn't go through the entire thread for Pro/XLT versions of the screen.

Someone with FDRS can view your OTA history. See the VIN lookup thread.

IIRC this just enabled Plug and Charge. You should still be able to charge by activating in the Tesla app and probably FordPass (see post 137).

But maybe check if you have Tesla chargers in your Public Charging (Charge Assist) app (see post 13). In particular does it say Plug and Charge: (It might show this regardless - IDK)

Finally, you can just try. If it doesn't work, then activate manually.

The XLT Sync 4 Public Charging app screen looks like this, since last October, 2024, and still today will not find DCFC stations no matter what filter I use. And the locations shown, some L2s, are not even the closest stations by at least 10 miles @Ford Motor Company :
