This is certainly interesting. I haven’t had any issues up until this point with the Ford supplied adapter. I’ll update if I find any visual differences with the newer version

I got my adapter after the pause. I wonder if this is going to be a recall for pre-pause adapterspre-pause adapters? I haven’t received an email from Ford yet. here’s hoping.

I took an older version of a @GDN spreadsheet and highlighted in red all the folks who got the email. Exclusively June deliveries and across all June ship dates.

Roughly order numbers from 1266 to 6455. A few folks in this range reported not getting an email however.

Read the 5 digits after the GF2 on your adapter and enter them here or here to find out what day your adapter was made.

Ah - didn't realize there was a Julian date hiding in there.

Mine - 24144 - May 23, 2024.

I did receive the "defective" email.

I recommend those posting info about their adapters include the manufacturing date listed above the serial number on their adapter, rather than their reservation or delivery date.

That way we can bracket what day(s) the bad batch(es) were made.

As @TaxmanHog has posted, the five characters following the 'GF2' are the julian date of manufacture.

Both of my adapters were made the last week of May (27th and 30th), and were delivered roughly mid-June a week apart, but I only got one email about one of them so far.

So I guess when the replacement comes, they'll tell me which one they want back.

Nice! There is also a sticker on the Styrofoam wrapping that has a part number and a date. Here is my son's recalled adapter (order 5331).
Sticker code 06JUN2024, Serial GF224148 (27-May-2024)
