It would sure be useful if it would stay at least while at parking lot speeds. Trying to maneuver into a tight spot it's sure annoying having to turn the cameras back on every time you shift gears. Not that I have seen. The two front views and the 360 disappear when in Drive.
But I'm not sure it would be useful. Might even be a govt. regulation.
What do you change in Forscan to allow this? As stated before, this would be great for parking in certain situations.FORSCAN lets you. It even turns on off road views. Confusingly it defaults to being in everytime you put the vehicle into drive, but it’s there…

You said “in” but did you mean to say it defaults to ”on” every time you put in drive? So the cams stay on after you shift to drive?FORSCAN lets you. It even turns on off road views. Confusingly it defaults to being in everytime you put the vehicle into drive, but it’s there…
Once I begin to turn in to a parking spot, I touch the camera icon at the top of the screen. The camera turns on, and I use it to center the truck in the parking spot. I have not made changes in Forscan. What do you change in Forscan to allow this? As stated before, this would be great for parking in certain situations.
Yes I meant on, thanks. You said “in” but did you mean to say it defaults to ”on” every time you put in drive? So the cams stay on after you shift to drive?
Did you enable rock-crawl mode in FORScan?
There is a rear camera delay setting in Sync that keeps the rear camera on until you reach a certain speed threshold after going from Reverse to Park. I find this satisfies most of my trailer positioning needs.Related - I just want to disable ALL auto camera swapping. When positioning a trailer, please just leave the camera set how I set it. Changing the camera every time the gear is changed is SUPER inconvenient.
@Louie7300 - same here as Lytning. The front cams and 360 view can be enabled as long as you are going 5 mph or less.Once I begin to turn in to a parking spot, I touch the camera icon at the top of the screen. what forscan changes did you have to make for off road cameras at speed ?Yes I meant on, thanks.
I enabled both cameras at speed and off-road front cameras at speed. If I remember, cameras at speed didn’t work until I enabled the off road option. I do like the tire tracks..has been helpful parking and entering the car wash track. Defaulting to on is a smallish annoyance.
EXACTLY!!!I really think the front camera should come on when you go under say, 5mph or are just getting going from a stop. A standing child can be eclipsed by the front of this truck. It’s no different to me than when the rear camera comes on when reversing. Same idea.

This would be great. Gm already has this on their trucks. When you switch from reverse to drive the front camera goes on then turns off once you reach a certain speed and if it detects a pedestrian near the front it will turn on front camera. Ford decides what we need not us lol. Maybe one day they will actually listen.EXACTLY!!!
