Did you buy used or find a '22 still on a lot (maybe a mannequin)? You likely need the wiper motor replaced and a brand new campaign came out this week to replace the rubber mat on the dash to prevent spills from leaking down into electronics. Check your Ford account online, these should show up for your VIN. Wiper motor is available, the mat may not be yet.

I don't think the window switch has been turned into a recall. Perhaps only fixed if you have the issue.
Thanks for the suggestions. It was still on the dealer's lot new and untitled. They used it as a loaner.

The error seems to only come up when the truck is not running in my case. I started mine up, cleared the code and then drove 60 miles without it coming back. Turned it off and it came back. Cleared and drove back 60 miles and it only came after shutting down.

Sorry your new truck needs a a new module. That one module is definitely below the allowed value. And one or two others at the limit above. Let us southern Denton County folks know how Bill Utter does. I was impressed with them for my son’s Mach-E.

I reached out to a local dealership about this: Firstly, they said they wouldn't do the update unless I was having a problem which conflicted with how I understood it in my mind. Secondly, they wanted me to drop it off to be inspected at a later day and that work would have to be done even later.

Anyone else having these issues? I couldn't wrap my head around leaving my truck with them just to wait for someone to look at it and then schedule work later, seemed like a lot of time wasting vs bringing it in day of to be looked at.

Man, I’m stocking up on the popcorn for this movie.

I am starting to think that these trucks are in fact doing the “ET call home” thing, reaching out to mother Ford with diagnostics information. How else would they know that batteries, or a set percentage of batteries, require replacement before they've been physically inspected? What does “identified via connected vehicle data” in the CSP Bulletin mean exactly? I’ve been scratching my head since day one after reading “…CRC will be proactively reaching out to owners of vehicles identified via connected vehicle data that have one or more high voltage battery modules that are experiencing a voltage deviation”. Does this statement imply Ford knows something about specific vehicles before someone even does “hands-on” testing.

If this is the case, it might explain how/why a non-EV qualified dealership mechanic who hasn’t done any testing on a vehicle can make the statement “your truck requires a HVB module replacement”.

Popcorn anyone?
Yes they have been monitoring all along and admit it. I received a call from the Ford BEV team in June that my truck had an issue. This was under the 23H01 program and before my truck threw a fault. She was actively looking at my truck's status while we spoke and I was quizzing her with all kinds of questions.

If you must use a vehicle to commit a crime don't use your Lightning :ROFLMAO:

I’m with you on that response.

My dealers service front end folks aren’t the most pleasant or overly friendly bunch, but they do a pretty good job of getting things scheduled and updated.

I would definitely have a problem if they tried to brush me off or not minimize my lost time.

Fortunately I went to another dealer, one that I had ironically written off earlier because they tried to up charge me a ton on my Order. They said I could drop it off to get looked at, I could pick it back up that day, and they would get as much done as they could. We'll see how it plays out but so far it seems their service department plays a fair game (minus prices, but luckily this work is free).

"Mid-Q4" for an OTA release for this CSP would be only a month or so away now, right? I'd definitely be ok waiting that long instead of putting up with my dealership plus potentially going without the vehicle for awhile.

As long as your aren't going on a long trip just wait for the OTA.

To some degree I wouldn't disagree with this, but we do have a member that had no indication he had a problem until he did the SW update last week. It immediately identified the issue. So the current SW is lacking some checking of sorts.

The release said you could have the dealer do it. Seems like some will and some likely don't even know how to use FDRS, so you are taking that risk.

I agree updating the software can force the error. I was told by the BEV team in June that I had a problem. My truck threw the error immediately after the Frunk Chime OTA like many others. I drove roughly 2,000 miles on a bad module before I had it replaced. Might have been able to drive it home had the update not forced the fault. After that it came home on a trailer.

I had my truck in for this CSP and it only took about an hour and a half from drop off to pickup.

It looks like my dealer is getting better with EVs. I asked them to get the parts together to take care of the steering wheel, light bar, dash mat, and BECM. They have the parts on order and actually went ahead and verified that my VIN isn’t flagged for a module replacement. The tech wants to go ahead and do the BECM update while we wait for parts so I’m going to have them pick it up next week and get that taken care of. Every time I’ve tried to get anything taken care of in the past I got the pushback that they needed to verify the problem before they could implement the TSBs so it seems that now maybe they are actually reading the documents.
