Power-Up OTA 6.3.0 - Screens, Profiles, Charge Stats

Noticed a bug. If you open the camera while driving above 5-10mph, the "X" the close out of the camera isn't there. Unsure if this bug only happens during carplay or not. Ill have to test that some other time.

Found this today as well. When I slowed down…the “X” came back and I could close the camera window. Thought it was a fluke…maybe not.

Are you on Android or iOS? Ford pass is slow on anything that requires pulling data from their servers and often loses connection on myAndroid phone (s23 ultra). Ford pass on my 2017 model ipad pro is much faster and it rarely loses connection. I think they give preferential treatment to iOS development for Ford pass. Even the beta version I signed up for is coming out on iOS first.

That appears to have fixed the problem. I initially had suspected it might just only needed a re-write of the configuration, so I tried just changing something and re-saving, but that didn't work.

At the time, I didn't want to delete and set it up again as I didn't have the time. Turns out, I really didn't have the time when I tried to just edit, because when I deleted it, it wouldn't let me set it up again until I charged at home "for the first time", despite all the times we've charged since May.

I had to plug it in to charge for a minute or two before it could be set up. Once I did that, the display showed something like "Charing will begin at set time". I'll have to wait until Monday to be 100% sure as there are no black-out windows over the weekend.

Same on my Lightning and the Mach-E. Both have gotten the recent APIM update.

I agree with your observation that IOS development is given preferential treatment or is just more stable lol. My Pixel android phone has issues connecting both wirelessly and cabled as well as frequent disconnects while connected. A pain when using google maps on trips and it just refuses to work at times. When we connect my wife's iPhone it seems to connected and work pretty flawlessly with carplay...

It's not a bug, it's a feature that need to be addressed


It happens on mine as well, during normal FM radio although I had Android Auto connected.

Interestingly, if you try to give it a voice command it'll mute whatever it is you're listening to, but nothing happens and it stays muted, until you slow down to get your "X" back so you can close the camera window, and then whatever the voice command was is carried out.

This update finally fixed my weird clock issue …I’m a rare fellow that likes the 24hr clock, but it would display the 12hr clock….it’s been broken for some time, but looks like they finally fixed the software bug.

I am in IT and always use a 24hr clock format - makes me crazy having to toggle it off/on to make it work. Look forward to the 6.3.0 update - I just got the 6.1.0 last week - I am in the EAP so hoping the 6.3.0 follows quickly on it’s heels!

I got 6.1 the first day, but have lagged on 6.2 and 6.3. Seems they may have limited these two updates for some reason. Have been lucky to get many releases right up front. Hoping they start rolling again this week.

Normally I too am always right there with getting updates as everyone else. I had 6.2 the same day I saw everyone else did. Weirdly I got the Apple Maps ev routing feature yesterday but it still says 6.3 isn’t installed yet. maybe it’s halfway installed? Great to have that feature though seems pessimistic as some have said but fairly accurate.

When I spoke with the BEV team on Friday they said it would attempt to download at a later date. This is my first time having an issue with a download.

Hmmm, I just reviewed all 5 pages of this thread and the only folks who got this reported it last Thursday. Can't see any conclusive updates since then. Wonder if it got pulled due to the issues reported (camera "X" disappearing, autofold turned off)? Also, not a lot of discussion on 6.2 - doesn't even have its own thread.

I also typically get updates day 1 or 2 but haven't got 6.2 or 6.3. I did get 6.1 late because it was queued behind the inhibit update that kept failing due to LVB SOC. But it was queued up the same time as others.

There is no dedicated status screen, I keep every communication record found on Fordpass.

Account > Message Center, the most recent message [You're Rolling with.....] has a [Update Details] link to a page describing the most recent update/version posted to my truck, sometimes these links go stale.

BTW, the web server dishing out these details is painfully slow the past month since Fordpass 4.30.2 was released, it is horrendous.

The server at Ford.com (maybe the same server?) is literally the slowest of all web services that I use. I just tried it again. It took a full minute to load the main page, another minute to process my sign-in, and another 2 minutes to load the Dashboard. It is time for Ford to update their 1982 PC with the 80286 processor.
