Don't feel bad, I'm still waiting on 6.1 and I'm sure there are others still waiting a any update at all. I just roll with it now, it'll come in its own time. The only update I was really chomping at the bit to get was the SoC (Chime volume) update. Was very happy when that one came in.

You make a really good point. It beats the USB in the truck with it running for an hour for a Sync update. Of course there are both sides of the coin, Tesla leaves them all in the dust. Seriously though, Ford is doing way more OTA’s than Subaru or Ram, or pre-EV Ford’s. It’s not perfect, but is lightyears ahead of what I expected, based on older Fords and the other brands.
FYI, I had this happen on my 6.1 update. Not sure of the reason it didn't complete but same message in my screen. I successfully updated today to 6.1 so it took about 5 days for the updated to retry i guess. I was actually surprised it happened as quickly as it did.Go to Software update screen and it’ll be on the bottom

So this (Jan 4 2023) Sync 4 software version display under vehicle settings does not relate at all to the sw update numbers like 4.2.2.2 or 6.3? (Another example, a later, Jan 19 2023, image shows sw ver 22293_Product rev 610.) I would think the Sync 4 sw version would be bumped at each update?
Some of the updates will change this, but there are many updates that don't affect the Sync 4 (4a) software version number, many different systems get updated though not always changing the version number listed abovere: how to see current software revision...

Can you please clarify what you mean by "approve a connectivity authorizations"? Just want to make sure I've got everything setup to receive updates. Thanks!
There are a bunch of settings in the Sync screen that should be reviewed, it's covered in my 2022 manual from page 26 forward starting with all the Privacy statements, on page 29 CONNECTED VEHICLE DATA overview, etc.
Mine don't download at home, only when away. I'm seeing tonight if keeping the keys farther away will help.
That has been the case for me as well, but some say it helps to have the wifi configured.
