I still think the big question is what will come first

1) BC1.X (not sure it will stay at 1.4 by the time we get it)
2) EV Nav with data from the truck via google maps (i.e. automatically added charging stops)
3) Telsa adapters shipping to those outside of the first batch

Not at all. We'll cross that bridge when we get there. I'll add you back on now.
Me too please on the list if it’s on the list I’m thinking on the help.

I'm hoping for Pro Power onboard mode (i.e. Truck not on) that the 2024's apparently have. That is the most important potential update to me. That and probably KW display after that, just out of principal.

1) not expecting it soon, and really not sure it will be all that much better. For people that do rely on BC heavily day to day in heavy traffic, then I get the excitement but other than that no big deal.

2) Dont care... I have the Apple Maps version and dont find it all that useful. I will never trust any nav to calculate my range. I'll handle that with my brain.

3) Got mine already. 😬 (sorry, not trying brag... ok maybe a little ;) )

Thanks rugedraw and I got in-lane repositioning and lane change working

also truck slow down on high curve road, bonus feature!
Yes, that is the predictive speed assist feature.

You can get away with most module updates with a 25amp power supply, but the CMR takes an hour and the IPMA will take 3 hours. Trying those with a 25amp can be risky. I would borrow one from work.

The EV's are different from the ICE vehicles. You will cooling pumps and all kinds of stuff running while the update is being written. If you want to avoid issues and have access to a 40amp, the use the 40amp.

Edit: Not to mention, the EV's come with a tiny 12v battery that has half the capacity of the ICE vehicles.

Cooling, Fan, and other stuff are all running during the upgrade. Actually, battery draw can be higher depending on the ambient temperature.
What I did is to get 12V 100Ah RV Battery and connect it to the jump post, its cheaper than buy a good 40amp power supply.
However, 100Ah battery can only do one IPMA as it does take 3-4h long
If failed, it's pain to wait for another 3-4h long

Does this feature only work in "Hands Free" mode, or does it work whenever lane centering is active?
whenever when the lane centering is on, it does not have to be in hands free mode.
Dashboard will have an indicator that predictive speed assist feature is active
this is super useful so I don't need to turn off curise control on freeway ramp.

It is not at all, with the help of rugedraw I was able to do it a couple of weeks ago and it was easy. Best thing to remember is take a screenshot or something of the current values when doing Forscan so you can go back if needed. Otherwise it's pretty straightforward and easy, plus you'll have some awesome help along the way.

I just updated modules last night. Will mess with FORscan today. Did you get walk away locks?

You choose to believe what you want, but you have multiple people telling you otherwise.

We are either all wrong, or, there's a common message/experience and some truth to it.

https://www.f150lightningforum.com/...programming-guide-using-fdrs.8249/post-361197

I thought exactly the same thing / way as you. I had gotten by with a single 20A Clore several times before and although it got a bit sketchy at times (mid 10V readings), so I decided to "upgrade" to 25A thinking that would be "safe" and I used it (CTEK so not some cheap stuff) to do the 3hr IPMA during which 12V levels dropped to 9V and I thought for sure I'd brick the truck.

You decide for yourself what you feel comfortable with and if you feel it's worth the risk to save $250. In the end all we can do is to share our own experiences and you have the choice to do with that what you want.

I know that I was personally not willing to take that risk.

No because I can't do the BCM updates due to there being an issue in FDRS currently. FDRS is cool but it also has problems sometimes just like OTA updates but it's more than I have gotten and have BC 1.4 is the coolest thing. It works so well and made a night and day difference to my Blue Cruise experience. Ford really needs to figure out how to get it to owners as it would make a lot of people happy.

Time does matter. I think the point @rugedraw was making is that you have two devices supplying current: the 25A PS and the onboard battery. If the truck is calling for 50 amps for example, then the power supply will give 25A and the battery the other 25A.

So, for short updates then a 25A PS may be fine. But for long updates the battery may not be able to supply the difference. With a 40A PS, the battery needs to only provide 10 amps instead of 25 so can hang in there longer.
