@Ford Motor Company - In your spare time you can read through this thread for a master class in what drives us crazy, how so many bad communications from dealers (that is still on your FOMOCO, you control the communication to the dealers and can impact how dealers treat customers) and how bad your software distribution tactics are. It truly doesn't take much to fix this up. It really doesn't.

@Ford Motor Company , iā€˜ll go out on a limb and propose that you could pretty easily address the thing that a significant portion of the posts on this forum, maybe a majority, are about: OTA update schedule. You could be easily make this not mysterious by publishing a schedule of some description. We get it that itā€™s done in ā€˜batches of VINsā€™, but thats not enough. If any kind of schedule or even guidance like ā€˜weā€™ll be doing 2023s first and thatā€™ll take 3 months then weā€™ll move onto 2022s, etcā€ would be super useful.

On a forum full of early adopters, i think youā€™ll find acceptance when things donā€™t quite go to plan on your end (cough, BC1.4, cough). But more open communication of any description will gain a lot more goodwill than youre currently being credited with.

I agree.
Task #2 would be to give us ready access to 12 volt battery SOC since it seems related to many issues with our trucks.

So being one of the ā€œearly adoptersā€ the representation from ford on this forum has helped several times! Most recently (and Hopfully Iā€™m an isolated incidentā€ my rear light bar got water in it for the 4th time! In two years. I live in AZ so it doesnā€™t rain much. That said, took it to the Dealer for replacement only to be turned away due to the fact that I had driven a few hundred miles OVER the ā€œ12,000 mile part warrantyā€ I reached out to @Ford Motor Company on the forum and they made things right. I pray I donā€™t need to do it a 5th time but hats off to the folks on this forum

WOW!
That is crazy that you have had a problem with that many light bars! Glad Ford made it right, but replacing light bar after light bar doesnā€™t make a lot of sense obviously there is a problem any of the other AZ folks having that problem maybe the heat???

Please send me your Vin and your dealer information. I'll look into it for you.

Has anyone actually had any luck with this canned response?

Rick
No. Not only that, but responding to the Ford chat on your phone is pretty useless also. Both were just a big waste of time from my experience.

Yes, after the second Light bar, I'd want to know where the failure was originating from. That is too much, 4 light bars!

Are you sure they replaced the light bars with updated Ford replacement parts, or just attempted to reseal them? Replacing the light bars often involves also replacing the body color plastic panel above the light bars due to attachment tabs breaking off.

Sadly I was suspicious of this too as it seemed very odd for the same part to fail so often. I marked this last bar before replacement for confirmation. As for the secondary parts needing replacement, I was told that was why it is/was so expensive

Hello. @Ford Motor Company , My 2023 Lariat ER has been at the dealer for 5 days now for a recall. They attempted to update my truck with the Customer Satisfaction Program 24B56 that is supposed to fix my "Front park aid becoming inoperable, you will receive a message in the
instrument panel cluster stating, ā€œFront Parking Sensors Not Available ā€“
Sensors Blocked ā€“ See Manual.ā€
message. They told me that they tried 5 time to update my truck but to no avail. Then, they said that they ruined the module so they are going to install a new one tomorrow or Tuesday. There is a 22 page thread about this very recall update and dozens of members here have had the same horrible experience. Dozens of times, members (including myself) have tried to "Mention" you with @ tags, because of the frustration of many things going wrong with that particular recall job. In those 22 pages, not once did a Ford Motor Company rep chime in.

Is it possible for you to at least chime in to that thread and say something... anything? If any thread here could use some help... this is one thread that could use some guidance because the Ford Technicians seems to be not following the update procedures.

Below is the thread in question.

Thanks.

To be honest, yes but no. My M3 is horrible at actually downloading the OTA updates, so I end up being almost as upset. At least Ford isnā€™t giving them to me. Tesla has the cookies in front of me but there is that blasted glass in the way.

Even the last minor update took 3 attempts to get it to fully download, that was connected to the home WiFi, and tethered to my phone for over 3 hours of driving. So Teslaā€™s release schedule might be great but their delivery does still have some hiccups too.
