FordPass app sucks. I use the "native" app for each provider (Tesla, EA, etc.) to get the accurate information.Interesting...on the Ford Pass app it still showed "adapter required"
It's unreliable. Use the Tesla app for correct information.Interesting...on the Ford Pass app it still showed "adapter required"
Only a small batch of part number 1434343-00-D was recalled. If you just got the Tesla-made adapter, and it's not that part number, then you're good to go.I just finally got my adapter in the mail and I thought I was golden until I watched this video . I received the smaller Tesla made adapter so how do I know that it’s safe to use? I thought those were recalled?
A lot of stations have the magic docks but very few of them are enabled. The Elmira site is a V4 but only open to “NACS Partners” with their own adapters.I ran into one in Elmira Ny and in wasn’t’t well marked, I couldn’t get the adapter out and just used my A2Z adapter, I pushed up but it still didn’t come out, what was I doing wrong?
Same with memy replacement was the OG tesla design.
They will not.Wow the Tesla made adapter is very streamlined it appears. Does anyone know if the 2025 Lightnings will have NACs ports?
For clarity and precision of terms, the "charger" is always inside the truck, or any EV....The truck de ides how much it can take, not the charger
Over 100,000 backorder on the free adapter offer that ended months ago.Thanks. Where did you purchase the A2Z?
I'm not sure that definition clarifies, not when we are pulling up to a supercharger or destination charger (or home charger) to replenish the trons in our batteries. The none of those is inside my truck. I think you make a good point about operationally defining terms, but when the suppliers are calling their equipment "chargers" it undercuts your definition. For clarity and precision of terms, the "charger" is always inside the truck, or any EV.
It demands and regulates electrical input from the "charging supply equipment" or as I call them, the "charging spigot" what that in turn happens to be a DC or AC supply spigot.
I could not get the built in Tesla adapter to release when we were at a Supercharger with our Mach-E but my wife released it quite easily. Maybe too much gorilla power? I probably need to watch some YouTubes or something.I have the Lectron one, but at a recent stop I found that some of the newer fast Tesla chargers (250 KW) have built-in adapters. It's not obvious - you have to push the connector up into the charger to release it.
It is not my definition.
