2024 Lariat - Heat Not Working Well

Hi.
I’ve noticed now that it’s getting cold, the heat in my 2024 lariat is not great. I am often cold. I have to really blast the heat to get the cabin to feel warm, and then when I put it back on auto, it gets cold again. I am in the Pacific Northwest, and so by cold I only mean 40 to 45° Fahrenheit.

I first thought that maybe it was because there are so many windows and the cabinet is big. Then I noticed online that other people are having a similar issue. Note that I have a Mach E as well, and that car has no issues whatsoever.

I am currently traveling and rented a lightning (I like feeling like I am at home.),, so I guess I will test the heat this morning to see whether it is the same as my lightning.

The 2024 has a heat pump, so I would assume that the heat would be better and not worse. Any thoughts?

I wasn't sure if it was just me or a quirk of the car, but I did notice that my foot vents don't seem to be as warm as I think they should be when on Auto. I usually set the fan speed myself to level 1 or 2 and that seems to work much better. 2024 Lariat in Canada.

Not saying this is your issue, but realize heat pumps are considered 'cool heat' with the hot air it produces being in the 85-92F range, not nearly as hot as the air coming off the engine of a car, or even the temperature of the air from a resistive heater.

I would put a thermometer in front of your vents and see what the air temp is. I know when I moved from a house with gas heat to my current house with a heat pump, there was quite a difference in what the heat felt like.

What temperature do you have it set to?

My truck doesn't have a heat pump so apples to oranges, but I find 74° in Auto to be comfortable on a cool, cloudy day. On a cool sunny day I usually set between 66° and 68°. I also usually have heated seats on level 2 since I tend to run cold.
