No, because the rate is "PER MONTH". So, if you use Pass+ now, you pay $4. When the next month begins, you'll pay $7.

Tip - Pass+ takes effect IMMEDIATELY. And, the downgrade takes effect when the month ends. So, unless you are on the road all the time, to not waste money sign up the morning of a trip, then immediately downgrade. You get the discount immediately, and don't have to remember to cancel. Put "Sign up for Pass+" on your trip checklist.

How do they enforce idle fees when the VW, Audi, BMW, Mercedes drivers and others get free charging for years ?

Charging might be free, but when the vehicle hits it requested SOC and stops drawing energy, the idle timer and fees should start and be enforced, they did not promise a free parking spot at a packed and very popular mall (Wrentham Mass is a mad house on weekends)

Nice tip Rick. Any work around you, I, or anyone else comes up with, they can come up with a work around for it. Such as, they can charge the three dollars per month you were down when you try to upgrade again.

Been this way for at least the 2 years I have been charging there.

True. But it is their app, and just like the three to seven dollar price, they can change it any time they like.

If DCFC pricing and inconvinience goes in the wrong dirrection, people that travel or tow often will be willing to pay more for larger batteries. It will be interesting to see what are the available supercharger locations and pricing will be next year. May be that is why EA is raising prices now. If they do it when people have that option, they may force a lot of customers to change their default charging stops.

But when they get notification that their charge is complete, they can come out to the car, unplug, go back to the mall without incurring idle fees.

W-T-F would they plug back in at 100% SOC, other than being 100% arrogant !

I would have the program logic adjusted for such an egregious abuse, plug in at 100% SOC start idle fees IMMEDIATELY
