I got my brand new 2024 Lariat Lightning last week, and had it for 4 days. Then I got the dreaded service wrench indicator and "Powertrain Malfunction" error. Long story short turns out GSM is bad. I took my truck to my local dealer for service and was told that day (a Friday), that they would order a replacement and fix it under warranty within a couple of business days. I wasn't that worried, because we were going to be out of town for 3-4 days anyway and I told service that I'd get a loaner or my truck back when we got back. I called on Monday to check on the order of the parts to see when they would come in order to line up a loaner or a return of my truck. Then out of nowhere I was hit with, "Ford put a stop shipment on all GSM parts orders until they can do a part Quality Control review." This is of course due to all the GSM issues over the last few years in ALL F150's.
I lay all this out to ask, has anyone else tried to get this part replaced in the last few weeks? If so, did you get the part in or is it still on order? Lastly, anyone know how long these QC reviews can take by Ford? I now have a brand new truck with 477 miles on it basically parked at the dealer. I'm honestly beyond pissed at this point!
BTW I'm also super new here and I WAS loving my truck so much, but it's a bit ruined now.
