Looks like I have a similar issue. 2023 XLT, yesterday got a charge fault error while plugged into my juicebox. After a whole bunch of experimentation:

- I can't charge above 66%, otherwise I can drive around fine.
- L2 charging works fine until it hits 66%
- DCFC will only charge at a max of 27KW, then will fault when it hits 66%
- Tesla V3 charged at 27KW, then started to drop
- EA 350kW station only charged at 20KW then started dropping
- EVGO 50kW station started at 24KW then steadily dropped until hitting 66% and faulting
- I have a Powertrain Malfucntion / Reduced power message on my App but I didn't see it flash on the display
- I have the service vehicle soon note but I thought that was because I was close to 10k miles.

Bringing it in on Monday morning, will report back.
Update for my issue, they told me there was a problem with a battery bridge part. It would take about a week to get the part and swap it. So they gave me an ICE loaner FOC. Interesting thing is the service manager also gave me a number I can call afterwards to get reimbursed for my gas since I have an electric. Once I get my truck back I will post the details of the repairs off the documentation.

Update for my issue, they told me there was a problem with a battery bridge part. It would take about a week to get the part and swap it. So they gave me an ICE loaner FOC. Interesting thing is the service manager also gave me a number I can call afterwards to get reimbursed for my gas since I have an electric. Got a call from the dealer today that my part came in early and they would have the repairs done in the next day or two. He said it was called an Array... so doesn't that mean they are replacing a cell or a bunch of cells?

Got my 23LSR out of shop today also bad array under 10D672 module could be part # NL3210D672E. This is the second time with this issue. Surrendering truck tomorrow under BB. Already have replacement 24PER. Still Love the Truck and hoping no similar issues again.

3 weeks without mine, now. 6 weeks, total, in the shop this year for battery replacement surgery. Not pleased.

I’m having the constant powertrain faults as well. 2023 XLT ER I got in March 2024.

Took it into the shop end of September 9,317 miles and it was there for 22 days. According to the paperwork they replaced the gear shift module, did the IPMA update, but could not diagnose the powertrain faults.

The next day it faulted again and in total has happened about 7 days of the 14 days I have had it back. Taking it to a different dealership on Monday to get a fresh set of eyes.

Guess we shall see…

I charged fine with my L2 to 90% and when I start there is no throttling. I can reproduce the clicking sound by pulling the negative terminal on the 12V and then reconnecting. It repeats itself for a period and then eventually stops. Has any seen/heard this in relation to the Powertrain topic before? I have a 2023 XLT SR. Production was around 10-2022. Additionally, even if the charger is not in it will make the sound. The charger had hit my target charge that is why you don't see it charging at the moment.

Never heard clicking at that fast a pace on my truck. You might want to have it checked out.

"no throttling" - Do you mean the truck is not mobile anymore? Thanks for noting the Build Date...what is your mileage?

Truck is mobile. My comment was concerning the motors. I still have 100% power available. Mileage is just above 30k.

I would do it if there was another vehicle I wanted. But there isn't.

Supposedly they'll finish today. They got the battery module in last week but didn't have the adhesive to reseal the battery compartment, or something along those lines.

My battery has now been out 3 times. Its a 2022. As much as I want to love this truck, its held together with hopes and prayers... and that just doesnt really cut it.

I got my truck back today, 9 days after I brought it in. They actually called me a couple of days ago and said they were working on installing the new array but the tech didn't like something about one of the parts so they ordered another, hence another couple days delay. I had 10k mile service and they did updates for the front hatch control module and front parking sensors. I had to gas up the loaner they gave me before I returned it and had to roll my eyes at the $95 it cost me... :rolleyes: but as I mentioned before, I am going to try and get this reimbursed by Ford, the service manager gave me a number to call for that.

First thing I did was go to a DCFC and make sure that worked which it did. Then I plugged it in when I got home and sure enough, works as it did before. All in all, it wasn't a very painful experience since they provided a loaner. Maybe I just have a better Dealer here?
