Red ring and service vehicle soon?

Hey all, 2023 standard range with 7500 miles....plugged it in yesterday at 4pm, hit my preferred charge limit of 90% at 8:30pm. Woke up this morning and saw that the app was indicating a charge error @ around 2am. I went to the garage and unplugged it and plugged it back in and the charge ring immediate turned red. Tried it again, same thing...when I started it (started fine) I got the orange wrench and "service vehicle soon" message. Drove it to work, but the orange wrench remained lit up...anyone got any ideas? Thanks.

Was it super cold in your garage last night?
Are you using the Ford mobile charger, or a higher capacity charger, (brand)?
Did your truck receive OTA updates recently?

Are you using the Ford mobile charger, or a higher capacity charger, (brand)?
Did your truck receive OTA updates recently?
The charger (emporia) module is in the garage, but the truck stays outside. It was about 15 degrees Fahrenheit this morning, but its been much colder this week. Not sure about updates, as I didn't check before I parked it at work. I'm seeing now that the app is indicating a "power train malfunction/reduced power" notification as well.

Local dealership can't get me in until Tuesday morning. I've already contacted Ford and have a claim number. So I guess it's just a waiting game until they diagnose it.

Did this fix itself on it's own? If not, you need to somehow get the batteries warmer. The exceptional cold weather can get the batteries too cold and it could then start throwing these errors.

I went out about an hour ago and started it to see if there was a failed update (there wasn't) and it was still showing "service vehicle soon" message and orange wrench...we'll see how it drives home after 3p...it doesn't look like the temp is going to get above 22F degrees today and I don't have a warm space to get it up to temp...probably going to have to wait till the appointment Tuesday to see what the deal is

I’ve been stuck in -15 or lower temps for the last three weeks and never park inside unless I need to melt the ice off. Never seen this happen. On 240 or at home with the ford mobile connector, which errors out every evening. 🤷‍♂️

I would just plug it in again when you get home and it will get the battery up to a better temp. I'm am still thinking there is a glitch someone with Ford and the FordPass app. Here is what I was going to say after your last reply.
I had close to the same thing when the temp got below 0 on Monday, even though I've had no issues in the cold before, even with leaving it unplugged overnight in single digits. On Monday, the truck did not remote start or precondition probably because FordPass was having issues? The battery temp was below the low mark, which I've never seen before. I drove the truck home and put it in the garage which stays at 40+, plugged it in overnight and had it set to precondition for a my departure time and everything worked normal and has been fine since. I did email my friend which is the head of maintenance at the Ford dealership and he said this cold weather could cause these type of issues but said bring it in if errors continue.

I see. That can be a lot of things, but it seems in other previous threads, many just turned the power off to the charger and turned it back on (flip breaker). The only time I've had the red ring is when I used an extension cord which was found to be bad.

Keep your appointment with your Ford dealer. Even money says you may have a failed battery module.
