Have patience. Ford and Tesla will come through shortly. Next year you will be thrilled and road trip charging will be a piece of cake.

The only reason I bought a Lightning last month was because of Tesla opening up to Ford early next year. If Ford ever ever makes a kit to convert lightning CSS to NACS I’ll be the first in line. Until then I’ll take a CSS to NACS Ford supplied adaptor.

I’ve owned 8 EVs since 2015. I currently have 2 Tesla Model Ys and the recent lightning ER. The Tesla Super Charger network accessibility, speed and reliability is the gold standard. All others Suck.

There is a new Magic Dock in Western Pa about a half mile from the Harmarville exit of the PA Turnpike. It’s a 16 stall V3. It opened on 11/8 but Magic Dock wasn’t enabled until yesterday. I live nearby and wanted to be the first charge a CCS vehicle, which I was. When I got there a Tesla tech had 4 of the pedestals close while he worked on the system. He was glad I was going to charge because he wanted to make sure Magic Dock was working. He said he tried to enable it a couple of times since it opened but had issues. This was the first installation he had with pre-installed Magic Docks.
The short cables are a real problem, especially for the Lightning. You would think that since these aren’t retrofitted they would have put longer cables on.
So now this exit on the Turnpike has 16 Tesla with Magic Dock and another 4 EVGo at Sheetz

You beat me to it!. I was supposed to pick up my truck from Cochran up in Natrona Heights Wednesday and I was going to try it on the way home. Maybe it will be done with the light bar recall/other bulletins today.

In PlugShare, Boca is showing up as one, but it shows Tesla only. Tesla website shows 40 now, and not Boca.

I made it there tonight, first 2 or 3 attempts failed with the orange circle of lights, moved forward a bit and it worked finally.

So what's the best charge rate we can expect on the tesla network with ER lightnings? At EA i usually peak around 160kW to 170kW after first plugging in.
