I posted on a different thread but I’ll add my details here. Truck has been at the dealer 29 days. Battery module arrived at the dealer a week ago but the ev tech was out sick all last week. Hoping to have it by the end of this week.
Are you going to post to your YouTube channel about this?

I got an update from the dealer yesterday.

Ford is going to replace my full battery pack with a new one.
Ford is "expediting" the shipment of the pack according to my service manager.

I was off on manufacture date In my earlier post. Dec. 19, 2022 was my build date according to dealer computer.

Module 4, battery #(I forget) low voltage was an issue.

This will be the first Lightning pack that they will be R&R'ing at my dealership.

My service manager thinks I should be back on the road in less than 3 weeks.

I am ok with driving the new Mach E performance until then I guess...

Also, there was a
"ford bev
23h01 harvest parts program" note which might mean they want the battery pack back?

Nope. They were CRYSTAL CLEAR it was going to be the whole thing.

I specifically asked if it was going to be module 4 only and tech and service manager said "Nope...Full battery pack" or whatever nomenclature they used.

They did say book says 7.5 hr job start to finish which did seem high to me....

Good luck with that 7.5 hour estimate. My truck has been in the EV service bay for 14 days for a battery MODULE replacement.

If it is the entire battery being replaced, that should be easier than a module. The battery will already be balanced and fewer connections to button up.

A full battery replacement should take no more than 4 hours (which will include breaks for the technicians).

It SHOULD come in with perfectly balanced voltages across all modules. A module replacement requires balancing the new module with all the other voltages. I can attest just trying to balance ONE string to others is a complete PITA when trying to do it manually, much less all the string in a module, but they do have a machine (with bleed resisters) to do it automatically (should take 3-6 hours this way).

I’d bet real money that your truck hasn’t been worked on all day, every day for 14 days. You tech is likely being reassigned to billable service jobs that are more profitable to the dealership.

Those hours likely DO NOT include "breaks" lol.

They say in this Drive Electric video, a HV battery ER might cost $36K, (or each array/module $4400?) but only 3.3 (or he says 5) hours of time, $675+tax, but out the door $40K? $32K total for an SR battery. ICE F150 5.0L engine totals only $13K. Total cost of 200K miles of ownership was $53K for either ER or 5LV8 [$45 for SR]. Hopefully, in 8 years (end of warranty) there will be a cheaper battery available or a Mr. Fusion. Thoughtful video. See another of their videos about their rear bumper repair $2300 and also a front end collision repair $44,000!

Add me to the list. 22 platinum with a little over 33k miles. Power reduced to 20%. Won't charge. Says stop safely now and service. First problem I've had. Pretty disappointing to read all of your experiences trying to get yours fixed so far.

I have been corrected.

More calls/dealer visit.

Module 4/TIM kit on the plan.

3.3 hrs is a complete pack as said above. Mine is 7.5....

Clock has already been started on a Lemon Law case being started in WA.....
Full pack replacement would have eased my worries and maybe extended my patience.

Tick Tock...
