HA. I saw two while I was therešŸ˜€. Funny things was, they were identical blue sedans. One driver came over to ask about the truck and didnā€™t know I could charge there.
As for the two spaces, youā€™re correct that that set of chargers doesnā€™t get used much. But I seen people waiting on the chargers at Sheetz in Breezewood. I would definitely cheese a bunch of tesla drivers off if I charged there (as if I could wedge the truck in).
Edit: Did you use the Tesla chargers in Harmarville? If so, what charge rate did you get?
It does not look like it, but could you have stayed completely in the space right of the charger?

I have had this issue at EA chargers (mostly the HyperFast) as the cable is too short and/or stiff that there is enough torque on the plug that the charger fails initiation, so I end up 1. Moving over/away (and partway into the other space), 2. Charge from the wrong side of the charger, or 3. Not pulling all the way in and sticking my rear in the driveway/road!

Although I was only a couple inches over the line on the driverā€™s side, if a tesla backed in to charge on its rear driverā€™s side there would be a potential problem.

Sheetz in breezewood is currently one of two locations, the other is up the road and has a ton more. It is soon to be one of three breezewood locations for tesla, wouldn't worry about it.

Yeah just as a test I charged off harmar. I was pretty full at the time and cold soaked tho from it sitting at Cochran for recall service. I don't know what rate I got but it was low. I couldn't get it to activate the first two tries, not sure if it was just too bent to make good contact or what.

can you publish the YouTube video of this? My real question is even if we have the adapter, Tesla has no way of charging us at the Supercharger while using the adapter. So, why order one?
I am guessing people want to have the adaptor in-hand on day one of the Tesla Supercharger opening up to CCS. Otherwise, they might be waiting longer when the charging floodgates open and everyone else is ordering too.

If I didn't live in a rural area I wouldn't jump on it so quick. One of the cities I frequent is a 2 hour drive, with no DCFC. They do have two locations with Tesla SC. I trust A2Z to refund my money if it doesn't work. How long will it take Ford to get them in our hands once they start selling them?!

Thats the way I see it. If Ford or Tesla ok this adapter, then im golden. If not, then ill explore the option to return it and order the appropriate adapter. As others have mentioned, the build quality and material must be of highest importance. Dont want a plug to short out and kill you while you grab it, pumping hundreds of amps through you. I do believe A2Z received the blessing of either Tesla or Ford, only time will tell.

Decided to sign up and do a trial run.
Low charge rate. 250% of local kWH rate. Taking up 2 spaces.
I guess when the only option, okay. Otherwise, no thanks.
What was OAT? What was your SOC to begin with? Did you precondition? Was the power cabinet shared with other users? So many variables for you to quickly shut down Americaā€™s most reliable charging network when other networks are years, possibly a decade behind Tesla.

Edit: I see you barely charged 2KW when you were already like 3% away from 80 so why are you discounting Tesla as a valid option?

This is from a Magic Dock charger in DFW on August 11. That is the fastest my truck has charged on a DCFC. I get the same speed from Francis Chargers in Oklahoma.

Manny - probably over 95% of my driving is local. DCFC costs 2X at EA and 2.5X at Tesla compared to home. Itā€™s an emergency backup. But when traveling it will be an option if no other DCFC available. At least thatā€™s how I see it now.

My first DCFC was yesterday at EA in Fairfield, TXā€¦. There are 6, 350kw chargers and I hit 170kw when I plugged in at 48% charge.

Francis chargers are awful. The 200kW Francis charger in Enid has been down for well over a year and most of the towns around me that have chargers are 50kW or the cable coolers are broken so they only charge at 33kW. So bad.

Thatā€™s really a shame. I drove from Missouri to Dallas in 2021 and Francis was the only option they charged great. I did have to call and have them reboot on charger, but charging speeds were very good.
