My dealer had to call up some reps to find the deposit in the financial system. Ended up with a check back a few days later.

What is that D&D price protection? Did you pay earlier? Thanks for reminding me!
I have my fiscal checklist for F&I ready.
Trade in - still debating...
84 month loan approval last week from Schools First CU.
D&D is delivery charges on the sticker. For those of us that ordered early it was only $1695. It went up to $1795. Ford has price protection for orders. The dealer can charge the $100 back to Ford and the customer isn't required to pay it. Many dealers will not be honest about that and have you pay it and then charge it back to Ford too. What is that D&D price protection? Did you pay earlier?
OMG, I had the exact same issue.D&D is delivery charges on the sticker. For those of us that ordered early it was only $1695. It went up to $1795. Ford has price protection for orders. I paid it because I wanted out and everything they did was taking too long. Wish I hadn't, but in the moment getting the deal done to not deal with them was worth the $100.
....along with a $100 gas card....
You asked and he would not do a Smart VINCENT? That's pretty dumb of him.OMG, I had the exact same issue.
If the sales manager made no effort to confirm my price protection request under Smart VINCENT where he got huffy - I have nothing good to say about this dealership.
Yeah, I think speaking to his boss (general sales manager), they don't know much about getting the D&D price protection thru Ford. You asked and he would not do a Smart VINCENT? That's pretty dumb of him.
Two things here - I get the zero's on surveys - I want to rate my dealer that way all day long - but PLEASE DON'T - it doesn't affect not one single one of the salaried jack asses you deal with in the back office.OMG, I had the exact same issue.
Yesterday, the dealer sales manager kept arguing with me on the $100 price protection for D&D.
I showed him at the time of order, it was $1695 and they showed $1795 after they entered into the ROVP/COVP.
Sales manager wouldn't confirm with his GM nor his Ford rep.
He was too lazy, sat his fat a$$, continued to argue with me and said a flat out nope.
So after F&I manager wrapped up the numbers, sold at MSRP and I signed very quickly (15 minutes) he was obviously happy about closing the deal and asked what my Ford customer survey would be.
I flat out said ZERO.
He was so stunned that he got the general sales manager out to talk to me.
I told him it wasn't the $100 - does not affect me financially either way, but the sales manager was very rude, condescending and outright a liar. If the sales manager made no effort to confirm my price protection request under Smart VINCENT where he got huffy - I have nothing good to say about this dealership.
They are mailing me a $100 check along with a $100 gas card for my "troubles".....
My salesperson said the same thing. Negative reviews are a pretty big misdirected hit to someone who will actually feel it. She recommended putting in any feedback in the comments section. Two things here - I get the zero's on surveys - I want to rate my dealer that way all day long - but PLEASE DON'T - it doesn't affect not one single one of the salaried jack asses you deal with in the back office.
Every one of those ratings affect the salesman out front (I know they do very little for a Lightning sale) but the dealers truly adjust their pay based on those ratings. They will lose pay for a low rating. The salesman is the only one that gets hurt out of a bad survey.
