I happen to have a perpetual FScan license. Yeah, it's a thing... those were available for a time back in 2014 or so. Mine is still tickin', through four Ford cars our family has owned.

I mention this here in case anyone in the Northern Virginia area needs access & help... just DM me.

My trial expired on december 12th and my plan was to purchase then but life got busy. Tried last night and learned it was not an option at the moment. I tried to get another trial and need to check to see if that was approved again. I will do that when I get home.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Yes, FORScan can be used to enable the parking sensors if you have all the right hardware in place.
Thanks for the reply. Would you check around the local truck performance shops if you were looking for a person skilled in FORScan?

Nah. I would search the forums for someone that's already done it and do it myself. The FORScan part is probably the easiest part of the process. I'm sure I can figure out how to enable it. If not, I have a few people in mind I can ask.

For anyone who was on the fence like me, requesting the two month trial key worked for me even though I had one before. Now to get any changes I need entered while I am able until the payment issue is resolved.

So I enabled glare free is there a good way to test it? I went out for a short drive, but it was hard to tell if it was truly working.
Yes, I have the green automatic lit up instead of white and yes, I double checked all my settings!
You should be good if the auto is green. If you can get on a freeway that has a jersey barrier/K rail in the center and it’s dark you should see the matrix LEDs turning on and off as cars approach you. Also you should see the right shoulder lit up nice and bright then like when you pass a truck once you pass it will light up again on right. Once you see it then you can’t unsee it. It really is amazing driving at night with glare free.

Anyone with a solution for purchasing an extended Forscan license in the US since December 18th? Any resellers that can sell this?
Until they get this payment thing figured out you should be able to just keep renewing the 2 month license. I did that for a couple years and then decided to get it for the entire year. I just renewed mine in November so at least I’ve got a year for them to figure it out. I’m happy to pay as it’s so useful. We are lucky as ford seems to be the only one that has this type of open source ability.

I made my changes today but now I don't get a white or a green light. It is blank. All of the other changes were successful. I will recheck my work later.

Went back out to check and the autoght is now green. Guess something needed to reset before it took.

I didn’t find anything in search or by a skim of this thread so apologies if it’s already been addressed but I haven’t found:

My question is, is it possible to do a forscan mod that shows energy consumption as kwh/mi rather than mi/kwh?

I was set to buy a 2024 Pro, but they weren’t going to arrive before Jan 1, so I found a 2024 XLT that would work. The “Build and Price” system said the Lightning XLT would have the Tow Technology package included. Great! In the Tow Technology package, the “Build and Price” system says it includes the “Forward Sensing System”. Great Again! When we found the exact truck, the window sticker said it includes “Forward Sensing System”. Triple Great! I picked up the truck and was happy.

I’m sitting in the driveway with my new truck; in drive with foot on the brake. Neighbor’s 3 year old sails past the front of my truck on his strider. Not a peep out of the truck. WTF?

Very long story short, Ford no longer installs the “Forward Sensing System” in 2024 Ford F-150 Lightnings with XLT trim. Even though the “Build and Price” system says it’s standard and installed, and the window sticker says it’s installed. Build Sheet confirms it is NOT installed and a proprietary “Major Product Changes” document confirms the “Forward Sensing System” is DELEATED from the Tow Tech Package on the 311A equipment group. Finally, pretty obvious since there are no front bumper proximity sensors.

Now what?

Option #1: Return the truck – Dealer not interested.

Option #2: Add the wiring harness, sensors, and bumper with holes and Ford Reprogram – Dealer not interested (yet)

Option #3: According to a Lemon law attorney, I’ll need to take the truck in three times to have them fix the Forward Sensing System before I can start the Oregon Lemon Law process – UGGH!!

Option #4: Get the hardware from dealer @ cost and FORScan it into existence

Option #5: Get the hardware myself and FORScan it into existence

Question(s): Are options $4 & #5 actually options with FORScan? WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

Hi,

I tried readin all 67 pages... but did not find what I am looking for.

I own a 23 XLT Lightning, live in very cold weather.

Is there a way to keep the recirculation permanintly OFF in auto mode (with forscan) for the cabin ?

I've been trying a number of changes in FORSCAN and so far, I can't get anything to work. I'm going to play around a little bit more today, but I'm thinking it may not be possible. The problem seems to be that the recirculation may turn off/on for a variety of reasons: time on, humidity in cabin, air quality in cabin, and possibly a variety of other things. Thus, even if there is a way to get it to stay on in FORSCAN, it may take several changes, all of which may not be easily identifiable. I would love it if we had access to more information on how the FORSCAN codes are used by the truck. Then it would easier to track down how to change FORSCAN to get what you want.

I am trying to remember now but isn't there a humidity sensor?

If so then I can see recirc being the default (to save energy) and it just monitors the humidity to see of condensation could be an issue.

Would this humidity sensor isolate the recirculation in the cabin ? Is recirculation nessessary for the battery cooling/heating ? (2023 XLT)
