Home charger for 2024 Lightning Lariat - need CCS1, right?

Hi all, just purchased a 2024 Lightning Lariat. Took the credit for the home charger, so now shopping for one. I noticed the receptacle in the Ford is the CCS1 configuration. Hence, I believe I need a home charger that has the CCS1 plug, correct?

Looking at a few threads, it appear the Chargepoint Home Flex is a good quality, reliable charger. I will place the charger outside. BUT - I can’t seem to figure out if the Chargepoint Home Flex has a CCS1 plug? Am I missing something?

You need a J1772 plug for ac charging. The extra pins on CCS are for dc fast charging

The Ford charge station Pro has what looks like a CCS1 configuration but the DC pins are for bidirectional i.e. back up power for your home if you buy the other additional equipment to allow for that. Using it for home charging I believe it just uses the round portion which is what the J 1772 will fit into kind of like the Mobile charger connector if you have that. When you are on the road and need to fast charge the CCS1 is for DC pins are for fast charging hope that helps!

No. Any J1772 EVSE will charge your truck.

Other posts are correct all you need is a J1772.

As far as chargers go I installed a Grizzl-E Ultimate 48A EVSE outside in Montana. I like the case all aluminum, made in Canada. It has been working great even at minus 39 degrees. About $379.0 right now.

I'm using the Grizzl-E Classic 40 Amp charger without wifi. It can be ordered with either a NEMA 6-50 plug in cable, or a NEMA 14-50 plug in cable and has a 3 year warranty. It works very well in cold and hot weather.
