I appreciate you sharing this information with me. After running your VIN through our system, I'm currently seeing an outstanding safety recall relating to the rear lightbar replacement (23S30). If you would ever like to check for recalls or field service actions yourself, you may do so at the following link: https://t.co/HF6Eu6gAJ2. Going back to your original inquiry, I was able to review this recall further and I see that Ford Motor Company is working closely with its suppliers to produce parts for this repair. Additionally, Ford has not issued instructions to stop driving your vehicle under this safety recall. When parts become available, Ford Motor Company will send a letter to inform you that parts are available, and to contact your dealer to schedule an appointment for the repairs to be completed free of charge (parts and labor). Parts are currently anticipated to be available 4th quarter, 2023. To stay updated on the status of these replacement parts, we recommend keeping in touch with the service team at Wyatt Johnson Ford, as they are in the best position to share updates with you as they become available. And the rest of us WITHOUT an issue could chill a bit while urgent failures are addressed first.

I have no issues [yet] and can wait for the major push when more parts are available.

As far as I know, my dealer didn’t do anything special. Took my truck in to get a tire fixed and they just told me “The light bar for your recall should here next week.” They called me the following Monday and I scheduled for that Thursday (yesterday) and it’s all done. I wonder if the new parts are being released to different regions in a staggered fashion?

I have an apointment on the 12th and this is on my list of things for them to look at. Mine is out and now all of the lights in the tailgate either flicker or just don't work at this point.

Yep. Mine started going out last weekend. Confirmed that they're still waiting for the parts at my Denver dealerships. It's a bit swampy in there.

@Salcox79 I told my dealer about water in the taillight, he said to keep an eye on it and if the light goes out they would "replace it with current stock." Hopefully your dealer gets their act together and soon. No functioning reverse lights is a serious hazard.

Ok so went ahead and spammed the hell of ford Twitter account until I got a call from my dealership service dept manager, he ordered the part (not sure if it's the updated or old) and schedule it for next week Thank you guys

Can confirm the white lights below the red light bar are burning out from moisture intrusion. I noticed it a few days before the recall letter came in. I had my phone in my pocket while walking towards the rear of the truck. Proximity triggers the lights to come on, and the light bar was flickering. Honestly it looked kinda like lightning in a bottle (or bar, lol).

There are definitely burned out LEDs in the white reverse bar. I can’t recall about the break bar, but do believe there is a section burned out there as well.

I’m going to check exactly what all is burned out tonight and talk with my dealer when I take it in to get the tires rotated (30k so far!). I took delivery of my truck July 2022.

Updated to include pics: rear lightbar completely burned out and reverse bar nearly dead too. At least it hasn’t affected the break lights.

I'll shoot my dealer an email and see if they can order it. Need this, the mat, and my passenger window sounds like nails on a chalkboard when I lower it.

I made an appointment with my dealer two weeks prior to do the lightbar recall, dash mat and battery BECM. Dropped the truck off on Friday, went away for the weekend and picked it up this morning. Dealer didn't call me on Friday and when I went to pickup this morning they said everything was all set, handed me my key and sent me on my way.

When I got into the truck I noticed the dash mat was the same one. I read the service slip when I got to work and it says they didn't replace the lighbar or the dash mat and have now ordered the parts. It frustrates me to no end that not only did the dealer not order the parts in time they didn't even bother to tell me when I picked up. Now I am going to have to waste more time to do this all over again once the parts come in. :mad:

I was planning to do exactly what you did, drive by the dealer, make an appointment and confirm in person that they do or don't have parts on hand for the wiper motor & lightbar, if not request they order them and then let me know when in to drop off just in time for all work to be done in one effort which includes the BECM & dash mat CSP's.

I picked up my brand new 23 sr Lariat today that supposedly had the lighter recall done. After two hour drive home , When backing in my driveway I realized I had no reverse lights and noticed the light bar on the tailgate out as well. I texted my salesperson and she is certain the reverse lights were on when backing out of detail earlier today. Has anyone had a failure on the recall work already?

I wonder if they didn’t get the connector plugged in fully and it separated during the drive.
