I think this must have been released yesterday because at least one other member found this and did the update already. I had it pop up in my available list this morning, a new IPMA/PSCM combo (along with the "usual suspects", the ACM and RFA).

It's raining here, and will do so for the next several days apparently, so I may not get to this update until Thursday.

Yeah, I still have that APIM GVMS warning. It may be related to me enabling glare-free (adaptive) headlights...which I won't apologize for. They're awesome, out here in the woods especially!

Very curious what that will do. The previous IPMA update was an amazing improvement to BC.

I wonder if this is the same BBC strat that was released to only 2021 F150's in September?

So I did the IPMA and PSCM update and got rid of my GVMS warning for my APIM.

Had a break in the rain this morning, so I got the gear out and did the IPMA/PSCM and then figured out why my APIM had the GVMS warning.

One of the messages I hadn't seen before was this one right after selecting the IPMA and hitting "Run":
Ford F-150 Lightning ECU module programming guide using FDRS IPMA_Update_notes

I do have a VCM3 (eBay sale from a Rotunda vendor).

I set the powersupply to 13.6 and off we went.

It took 48 minutes to do the IPMA software update. But there was a minor snag that others have run into and that was the fact that after the software is updated the script doesn't clear out any DTCs before attempting to do the configuration phase, and I (and others) got a "Stop Safely Now" and "Pedestrian Sounder Fault", etc. as a result in the interruption of traffic on the network. So the config failed. I was asked if I wanted to retry, I said yes, it failed again, so I said no the second time it asked, and we moved on to the PSCM. That took 5 minutes, and this time it did look for and clear DTCs before doing the configuration step.

So returned to the available software list and the IPMA is still there. No problem I go back over to the selftest screen and even though everything was "green" I did another "Clear and Retest' just to make sure, and then back over to the SW Updates tab. I selected the IPMA from the list of modules on the left side panel and then selected the "IPMA-Image Processing Module "A" Configuration" tool at the bottom of the list and downloaded and ran that. Got the warning that multiple modules would be programmed and I said "OK".

So it checked the software and decided it was fine, and went right into doing the config step. All done, and then on to the PSCM. Same deal, checks the software and then a few seconds later, moves right into doing the PSCM config (again).

All good, back to the menus with no DTCs and IPMA dropped off the list.

So to figure out what was going on with the APIM GVMS warning, I decided to attempt a config of the APIM to see if I could put the cloud stored asbuilt values back into it. So I ran the config tool for the APIM and got a message that it failed because some of the values weren't actually on the server, they were missing.

So the way to put asbuilt values back onto the cloud server from the vehicle is the tool called "Read the Configuration Data". So I ran that and got a "Successful" at the end...and now my GVMS warning is gone.

Going for a drive now to check my BC hands-free to make sure that still works well.

So if you do the IPMA/PSCM, be ready for your IPMA config step to choke due to DTCs, but don't worry, you can always go back and do the config as a separate action to sort it out after your PSCM gets updated. Don't exit out of the script just because the IPMA config step failed, let it keep running and do the PSCM, and then circle back to run the IPMA config as a separate action.

IPMA programming note: Ahem......., as a side note you will have to put back the asbuilt value for glare-free headlights (IPMA value only) after doing the IPMA update if you enabled that previously. Those who live in the US and have enabled this...youknowhatImean.

Curious - did you loose the green icon and it go back to white? Just wondering if there is a "tell" we can see in case an OTA takes it out.

You think this update might be in prep for BC 1.5?
It's not. We thought it might be at first when it first dropped in September for 2021 ICE trucks but the gurus already dissected it and tried it. It is not BC 1.5.

Thank you this worked perfectly . Do you think the same method would clear RFA and ACM?

Oh well can’t blame a guy for hoping! I’ll install it tomorrow anyway. 😁

I had the visual indication in the IPC but the adaptive lighting effect had stopped after I did the update. So I rechecked my settings and the one setting in the IPMA was the only thing I needed to put back.
