I knew this day was coming, but I thought it would be sometime late next year.

I’ve had my F150 lightning for six months and put 14,000 miles on it. I’m a long term Ford F150 owner.

But I’m not gonna lie, my truck has an MSRP of $80,000 and I’m looking at a Silverado LT premium with the same MSRP that does 390 miles of range versus my trucks 320. And it tows 2500 pounds more.

Now Ford put some money on the hood when I bought my truck, and that makes it an easier pill to swallow. But I’m sure that money will be on the hood of the Silverado soon enough. They’re already discounting the RST.

Ford has got to step up to the plate in a major way. And it’s going to have to come from software updates.

Ford already has the advantage in that regard because they still support CarPlay and GM does not.

But Ford, come on, you need to be putting everybody you have on getting the latest blue Cruise updates to your existing lightning owners and early adopters. Or you’re not gonna be able to keep us.

Have yet to see any Silverado EV's around Tucson. Plenty of Lightnings, R1T's, and Cybertrucks. Did Chevy even start selling them to retail? Last I saw it was just fleet.

Not much there on how that "LT" trim will come equipped. To make up for the battery, I am guessing it will be missing many of the creature comforts that our Lariats have.

Are they ramping these yet? Last I heard there were a lot of issues ramping the Ultium stuff.

I've been seeing quite a lot here in Southern California. The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) appears to have bought a bunch of them as most of the ones I am seeing are branded with their logo.

If everything is fair in the world, I hope so. It sounds like the LT premium will compare pretty closely with the flash at least.

I am expecting probably cloth seats and no cooled seats.

there's usually a lot of innuendo surrounding 'future pricing', as we've seen many times before: until the 'rubber meets the road', you'll not really be able to 'compare' pricing, features, and even range, especially when their website uses the general term "up to" so often...

That’s just what I was thinking. My lariat is almost a platty. lol. Has the power boards. Only thing I’m missing really is message seats and the unleashed system. That LT ain’t gonna have all this fancy shit we got. My truck stickered at almost 82k but paid 58k OTD. I’m quite pleased. And yes having CarPlay for me at least is huge. My wife leased a blazer ev and while it’s a nice ride no CarPlay sucks! Just so used to it. Get into any car with it plug phone in and you’re done.

How do we get the latest BlueCruise update, anyone know?

I drove a WT4 model a few months ago and was not impressed by the Silverado. There was a lot more road noise and the seat wasn't comfortable. And for the $80k they were asking back then, it didn't even come with a heated steering wheel. When I got back in my Lightning, it was a much nicer experience.

Just took delivery of our Lightning Lariat a week ago. Very impressed and loving it! I was a Ford guy since my early teens years ago. My Grandfather was a Ford man. Hot rodded a 1970 Ford Torino GT. At 20 I got a job as a tech (We were "mechanics" back then LOL!) at our local Chevrolet dealership. Worked there for 22 years. We owned nothing but Chevys during that period. I had a 1986 S10 extended cab, a 1990 K1500 extended cab, a 2006 Silverado extended cab, and until just a few months ago a 2016 Silverado double cab. After driving the Lightning for a week, my advice is stick with the Ford!
