I think Utter will still do mobile service. But when I called Five Star Lewisville, they said they no longer do mobile service for software updates. They had too many issues. Morons don't realize the issue is likely the tech not connecting a power supply. They offered the pickup/drop-off service instead so I did that. I had them do the three CSPs I had at the time. They were pretty quick and did all the updates.
Yeah - new scheduler/service advisor at Utter - Tiffany I think it was, just told me I was too far away for them now. Tracy at 5 Star did check with a tech, I think they knew agreed they needed to get power supply, but they started down the road of they knew it would take all day.

So I'm choosing the least of my evils. I think at least at Utter I'll call the guy that has helped me a couple of times and let him set it up for me.

Well there’s all of those considerations plus the fact that Ford still hasn’t told their techs that this IPMA/PSCM script is broken, and unless you know to separately run the IPMA Configuration tool in FDRS afterwards you’ll likely end up with a partially completed update that will result in you still having a PSCM update in your available software list. This is an issue that many of us who’ve done this update have known about for what….four months now?

I still need to get this done and hesitate for the very reason that it might not get done correctly.

Think I'll put this off until late spring when I can ride the Harley they while play with the truck for x days getting it done right.

I'd love to talk directly with the EV tech and feel him out for knowledge and attention to details, unfortunately the Service advisors & Manager got them pretty well hidden and out of reach.

I had it done and ended up with the tiny 360 view. I changed it back with FORScan and just lived with the menu button to get to the camera views. When I updated to 6.14, it seems that applied/configured whatever the tech didn't as I now have the correct button layout. Don't know if it was a coincidence that the update happen to run the config or not. Point being that you could get it done, fix the view yourself, then let a future update perform the config.

Well, they could start by re-reading the TSB. It says right in there what they need to do.

But apparently it's 'rocket-surgery' for many of these folks....

Dammit. After news of the fix I made my appointment for this for the 25th. Hope they actually release a fix by then.

Had this completed today on my '23 XLT ER. It doesn't take as long with this system. However the tech said they had to run it 3 times because it kept kicking them off. More on this later.

They also said there was something else in cue in the system but they wouldn't tell me what it was but I think they may have installed what ever it was due to some changes on how the truck now performs.

1) The main screen reset. Brake coach, calm screen, all the trips, seat belt, ECT all reappeared. All my custom main screen features had to be reset to my liking.

2) Infotainment system audio reset. Volume was set at zero, Tone settings, position, speed volume compensation all went back to defaults. The system went back to radio and defaulted back to the very first memory screen/spot. But hey at least my saved stations still remained.

3) Both screen brightness settings went back to defaults.

Now the driving characteristics...

1) The drivers assistance safety system picks up vehicles in front much faster and for much farther distances ahead. I keep the distance at 2 out of 4 bars.

2) The front camera auto switching near objects is way faster and now I will get the camera view before the sensors being set off. In the past the sensors were already beeping before the camera would even switch on.

3) When in Sport mode, the steering feel is much less resistant. It's almost like being in normal mode but with all the acceleration and Regen as in sport mode.

4) Lane assist is more on center and corrects itself twice as fast.

5) Because the steering appears to be lighter/less resistant, I can rest my hand on my thigh and lightly hold the wheel between my thumb and index and that's enough to keep the nagging at bay. BUT if a long stretch of straight road it's nagging away, probably due to its ability to be more on center.

6) Bluetooth... I think the tech's issue with the update being kicked off the 3 times was due to something that improved the Bluetooth range. While on my phone in the waiting room, (green dot me, blue dot truck location), that is a reworked old dealership where my location is the old service bays and with my truck in the service bay a building behind, I got notifications on my phone showing it was connected, which I had then disconnected. I thought perhaps it was a fluke but turned on the Bluetooth a little while later and it reconnected. Then I just left it but then received a call and disconnected it again.

I like this game....very entertaining to watch.

Not so entertaining when/if your truck is involved....

I'm taking mine back in next Monday to have the "new & Improved" programming performed. It spent 3 days at the dealer last week just as all the problems were happening with the server.
