It is more about offering tech that was only available in the Lariat (Bigger screen, upgraded audio, bluecruise) in the XLT.

Honestly if this had been an option last year, I would have gotten it instead of my Lariat.
Same for me I didn't really want the leather seats but wanted the bigger screen and blue cruise. Mines due to get built next week, now I'm rethinking my order.

I totally agree with you. I just want Ford to put a cool option out there for us.

This 100%.

Back in the early days, because you had to add that option package to get the ER in the XLT..the price difference between the XLT ER and the Lariat ER was only like $6k (I think ~$73k-79k). For that 6k you got leather, moonroof, etc. It was really the way to go..not to mention Ford was pushing the Lariat trim.

If I had a Flash to order I would have strongly considered it at the time...

18" wheels and the 12" display, and this truck would be perfect.
Exactly what I have been thinking. I saw that the ice XLT can get blue cruise for 24 and was hopeful they would make it available for the base XLT lightning. Seems like I'm out of luck.

The 2024 F-150 Lightning Family

Early 2024, the following will be available for online customer orders:
  • The F-150 Lightning Pro with standard range will be available for order starting at $49,995
  • The F-150 Lightning XLT with standard range will be available for order starting at $57,495
  • The F-150 Lightning Flash with extended range will be available for order starting at $69,995
  • The F-150 Lightning Lariat with extended range will be available for order starting at $77,495
  • The F-150 Lightning Platinum with extended range will be available for order starting at $89,995
  • The limited-edition F-150 Lightning Platinum Black with extended range will be available for order at $97,99
Looks like the SR Lariat isn't an option anymore. And the Flash looks to be taking the spot of the ER XLT.

Anyone know if they will be making the heat pump available to purchase and put on previous years models to extend winter range? Also any word on the heated steering wheel fix?

Have they started putting the onboard scales back in yet? I thought they where still removed in everything.
Still deleted per a 10/8/2023 blend day window sticker, forum member is buying a dealer stock order yet to be built, since this is marked as a pre-build pending sale it will get built.

I spent 10 minutes reading everything twice to see if Ford made the 350 mile range claim on current vehicles or The Verge just wrote an incorrect article.

Looks like it's just TheVerge being wrong this time unless we are getting some sort of software unlock in the future. Off Topic, but my truck with 40,000 miles is showing 99% battery health.

Smart move by Ford to offer this greatest hits model as it will become the new sweet spot for sales. Other Notes and Changes
Only a BlueCruise Trial of 90 days on Flash

Differences between 511a Lariat and Flash (all speculation)
No Moonroof (none in image)
No Second Row heated seats
No heated steering wheel
No phone as a key
No heated or cooled front seats
No mention of onboard scales
No Ford Charge Station Pro included

- Personally, other than the moonroof and the fact that I would have to buy a charge station pro separately, these aren't deal breakers for me.
I would need after market leather seats.

The stock photo is either photoshopped or they figured out a way to, what looks like, add reverse warp to the center of the speaker cover!
I was thinking the same thing!

Good start, some edits for you:

If you look at this pic you can see:

Ford F-150 Lightning F-150 Lightning FLASH Model Debuts with Heat Pump and Bigger Screen 1696344760754

And this ones shows
- no memory seats
- no power fold mirrors

Ford F-150 Lightning F-150 Lightning FLASH Model Debuts with Heat Pump and Bigger Screen 1696344895366

There are a whole host of minor options standard on Lariat 511A that I would assume are not on this model since they don't mention it like they do the wireless charger:

Leather-trimmed, 10-way power driver’s seat and multi-adjustable power passenger seat with power lumbar (XLT has 8-way power driver’s seat with power lumbar, manual passenger lumbar)
Driver's memory seat with Easy Entry/Exit
Mirrors, Sideview – Power-folding, Memory, Auto-Dimming Feature (Driver's Side), High-Intensity LED Security Approach Lamps, and Body-color Skull Caps
Signature tailgate lighting
Universal Garage Door Opener
Visors with Driver and Passenger illuminated, covered mirrors
Pedals, add Memory to power adjustable
Seat, Rear — Armrest w/cupholders
Power-Sliding Rear-Window
Ambient Lighting – Ice Blue Color Only
Advanced Security Pack
Power Tilt/Telescoping Steering Column with Memory
Rain-Sensing Wipers

Probably easier list is to start with XLT High and list what they added from the Lariat!

I'd be interested as well. I'll have to look into it more, but a heat pump is basically reversing the a/c afaik. It could be a totally different setup, or it could be a few parts and a reprogram. I guess that remains to be seen.

the only reason I moved up to a Lariat is because it was the first trim level that had leather interior and the better audio. looks like that's still the case, but for some this trim might make sense.
