Got a new trailer module update in the list this morning...along with the 'persistent' ACM and RFA updates that either won't update properly, or do update but won't clear off the list. It's not clear which.

I've sat in my truck and watched both of the ACM and RFA updates and they even go through the validation process at the end , so I tend to think it's just "won't clear" . On vacation but I will run the trailer module update Saturday morning.

Decided to try a Chinese 2 board VCM2 clone I bought from DR.IAUTO on eBay for $200. Shipped from New Jersey. Took out three screws that didn't have the warranty tamper sticker and pried it open enough to confirm it was 2 boards. It also has the reset button and a SD card installed in the SD slot. Used VCI Manager to update it's firmware from a 2015 version to a 2020 version. Tested it by updating the Passenger Door Module and no issues so Installed all updates except the one that wanted a dealer code. GWM popped up again for a second update and TCU showed up 2 more times (3 updates). APIM update took a while as it was 6GB. Was expecting a second APIM since I was informed mine was 2 versions behind. Maybe it will show up tomorrow. Seemed to work as well as the borrowed Mongoose Plus I used on my Mach E. Will update the Mach E tomorrow.

I have seen a few cases recently where the APIM goes up more than version after an update. What Sync version are you on now?

Well, there is one more that first showed up about a month ago or ago, but it does not seem to be released for everyone yet.

Checked for an APIM update after updating the Mach E and still not there.

Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do about that.

Still have one more day on the license so will check again tomorrow. Thanks for all your support on this forum.
I had 1049 and just updated to 1076 with the new icons. All joyous 6GB worth. Then got a gateway and now onto another 6GB APIM. o_O

Well 6 hours and 23 modules later, think I'm caught up for now. Only have the expected RFA and ACM showing along with the BCM. The two APIM updates took about 2.5 hours of that but I somehow missed the IPMA fun. Glad I decided to forgo the dual 2320's and got a 75amp power supply though since it was humming at about 56-58amps for a solid 2 hours. Dipped as low as 12.4V during the hour long CMR update.

I think it's BCM 24.6.R? Not exactly sure from memory.

Yes doing updates with FDRS means you don't have to wait for OTAs. The BCM is an exception since it can no longer be done with FDRS with non dealer FDRS credentials. You'll still get OTAs as new stuff is released.
So you aren’t able to register with the organization as a non-dealer credential and then proceed with the BCM updates? Ran into this tonight and came to the forum with questions. You guys are awesome.

I know at least one person tried and wasn't able to do it.

I tried creating an account and was unable to do it. If you are a non-dealer, you can perform it but you have to register as a professional not just the free account and as you have to have a company, insurance and get vetted by them to qualify. Basically because the BCM allows for programing of security items like keys it seems Ford has put into place to not allow just anyone to do the updates. So unfortunately you will just have to wait for an OTA for the BCM.

A good friend of mine is a mechanic that works on Mercedes, BMW, Lamborghini, etc. And has his NASTF certification. We tried to login with his credentials, a couple months ago, but we’re unsuccessful! I have not tried it again, but based on that time when we tried, I do not know if it is possible without Ford specific login, even though that screen pops up on FDRS??
